The Convict exclusive HAG-X from Rampage Toys…

Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt has revealed that he’s teaming up with Japanese lifestyle brand The Convict for an exclusive run of HAG-X! Featuring Skull Head Butt’s standard “X” body with Rampage’s HAG head (complete with cap that transforms it into a free-standing Hag-Ball), the 9″ tall figure has been produced in a primary yellow soft vinyl this time around, coming with metallic blue, silver and red sprays inspired by 80’s bootleg toys. Going on sale via The Convict later this month, we suggest keeping a close eye on their Instagram feed here for release details soon…


Rampage Toys at Superfestival 70…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just unveiled a whole slew of figures he’ll have up for grabs at Superfestival 70 this weekend! Featuring a bewildering amount of customs, painted runs and blank minis, highlights include both Rampage’s Kesagake and MVH’s Zug the Troll in Garamon-homage colorways, a number of Kesagake’s Revenge one-offs, plus a run of the latest Cyclops Dinos in a gorgeous painted purple vinyl. Up for grabs at Rampage/Galaxy People booth (B10-11) this coming Sunday, January 10th, we’ll assume any leftovers will make it into the Rampage Toys store soon after…


MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ latest “Kaibutsuya” sofubi teased…

Having had continued success with Kesagake over the past year, Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys is pleased to announce that the second figure in the ongoing “Kaibutsuya” (Giant Monster Animal Shop) series will be up for grabs soon! Whilst Kesagake was based on the infamous Sankebetsu Brown Bear of Hokkaido Higuma – who was subsequently killed after the worst bear attack in Japanese history – it would appear from the “revenge” stamp pictured that this is actually the same bear, albeit with some neat “mecha” additions to fight off those pesky Higuma settlers once and for good! Pictured here in pink test shot form, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the as-yet-untitled grizzly makes its debut at Designer Con ’15 next month…

With the first round of Ugly Club membership being snapped up almost instantly back in April, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has decided to offer up a few more slots to those that missed out! Featuring two different tiers of entry, Basic and Premium, both give access to exclusive UU sofubi releases, as well as membership card discounts, Bikkuriman-style stickers and a few, as yet unrevealed surprises. Currently available in the Rampage Toys store right here, we give you a quick rundown of what both tiers have to offer…

Level 1:  Basic “Ugly Club” Membership.  $75 (plus shipping)

-Club initiation “Glittersplosion” Ugly Unicorn (pictured above).  This guy will come bagged with screen printed header card.

-Ugly Unicorn Sticker set (2 holographic stickers)

-Silk screened, numbered, signed and stamped Membership card.  This card will grant you dibs and discounts and maybe surprises when shown at future events!

-Enrollment in the “Ugly Club” mailing list – for exclusive releases, dibs on “ugly stuff” and other sorts of fun.

It’s been well over a year since the last release of Imps and Monsters‘ Manotaur sofubi, so it came with great pleasure yesterday to find that a special “Cosmic Beast” edition is now up for grabs online! Sculpted, produced and painted by Rampage Toys‘ Jon Malmstedt, the impressive 8″ tall figure has been produced in a bright yellow soft vinyl with purple and orange sprays. Currently available in limited quantities on the Imps and Monsters store right here, the “Cosmic Beast” Manotaur will set you back just $85 plus shipping…


MAN-E-NEWS// The first painted “Hag-X” and “Dark Side Hunter-X” sofubi from Rampage Toys x Mutant Vinyl Hardcore x Skull Head Butt revealed…

Originally teased here last week in blank flesh vinyl, the latest round of Skull Head Butt “X” figures from Rampage Toys and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore have finally been revealed in their debut painted colorways! Featuring a Skeletor-inspired witch going by the name of Hag from Rampage and a sinister six-eyed alien called Dark Side Hunter from MVH, the pair have been produced in the afforementioned flesh toned vinyl with paint apps from Rampage’s Jon Malmstedt; Hag-X coming with red, white and gold sprays over a black rub, and Dark Side Hunter-X, a mix of metallic teal, black, silver, pink and yellow sprays with silver detailing. Going on sale at the “Clash of the Titans” show at Rampage Studios this Friday, June 26th for an undisclosed sum, we’re told that a limited number will be held back for an online release soon after- more details on that later on this week!


MAN-E-NEWS// The “Glow Version” Kaibutsuya Kesagake sofubi from Rampage Toys…

Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys will be descending upon Design Fiesta 41 this weekend with a whole load of original sofubi, custom one-offs and painted runs, the first to be revealed coming in the form of this gorgeous “Glow Verson” Kaibutsuya Kesagake sofubi!  Standing at a lofty 10.5″ tall and coming with 4 points of articulation, the menacing grizzly has been produced in a glow in the dark vinyl soft vinyl for the release, coming complete with a number of icy blue, metallic yellow and neon pink sprays. Up for grabs at the Rampage DF booth (C-356) starting Saturday, May 16th (price TBC), an extremely limited supply are due to be held back for an online lottery release at some point next week.
