MAN-E-NEWS// Slugs, necklaces, arcade machines, and more from Motorbot…

The resin work horse that is Motorbot has been putting the final touches to several new projects since the sellout launch of Squonk a couple of weeks back, so we thought we’d give a quick rundown of the goodies you can expect to drop in the Deadbear Studios store over the coming month…

Swiftly following the arrival of Tenacious Toys‘ exclusive ‘blue edition‘ Slugs earlier in the week, Motorbot has revealed that around 10 one-off hand cast and painted Slugs will be made available through the store sometime tomorrow (March 8th). Expect them to come bagged and headed for around $10 a piece…

Spotted on Motorbot’s Instagram several times over the past couple of months, the much talked about Meathead and Deadbear pendants should be available in-store next week. Coming meticulously laser etched, an initial batch of the beautiful wooden tags should be arriving at the Deadbear studios by the weekend- expect more news on pricing and availability to hit soon…

Previously featured here a couple of weeks back, images Motorbot’s That Thing Ate My Quarter have finally surfaced in ‘mock-up’ form. With decals created by Lance Reine, the hand cast resin figure will initially be made available at the upcoming Vinyl Thoughts 2 exhibition (Thursday, March 15th 7:00-11:00pm) at The Quixotic World, Dallas, with any left over (fingers crossed!) dropping on the Deadbear store sometime after…

With Blacklist studios reaching their target for the Robot 13: Colossus Kickstarter project last week, Motorbot has been firing full steam ahead on creating the other 5 mini-figures that will be joining Robot 13 (revealed here) in the highly anticipated 6 pack. Pictured here are 2 as yet unnamed characters (fans of the series will be able to make an informed guess!), and as you can see, these should easily reach the lofty standards set by the first sculpt. Stay tuned for more info on the project soon…
