On top of the recently posted custom Giant Monster Embryo custom and Monster Kolor mascot, the ever busy Richard Page over at UME Toys has been hard at work busting out a whole heap of ToyCon related customs and original resins- the first of which we proudly reveal to you today…

“Bronze” Dita the Sphynx// The first of many custom Ditas that we suspect will be featuring at the con, this beautiful one-off piece has been given the signature UME “bronze” finish. Standing at around 7″ tall and coming with articulation in the neck, the beautifully weathered figure comes hand cast and painted by Rich.

Lionel the Evil Origami// Created as part of a ToyCon exclusive custom project, Lionel is based on the original Ox resin figure designed by Chris ‘Alto’ Dobson and hand cast by DMS. Featuring some additional sculpting in the instantly recognisable UME style, the piece has been given a vivid rust-red paint scheme with subtle yellow and black washes… Expect more details on the project soon!

The UME Greads// Rich has teamed up with Brian over at Deadhand Toys for a ToyCon exclusive batch of UME Greads. Limited to just 10 bagged and headed pieces, the highly popular resin has been given the full UME makeover, coming complete with newly sculpted eyelids plus the all-important bronze-oxide finish. Pricing and availability is still to be confirmed, so expect the full lowdown closer to the event.

Project X// A figure we hold close to our hearts here at Man-E-Toys (it’s what first got us in contact with our good friend Rich!), we were delighted to hear that Project X is set to be resurrected for the con. Originally conceived by RunDMB, the stunning figure was sculpted by Rich at the beginning of last year, with retooling (including some new articulation) commencing recently. It’s still not clear as to whether the figure will be making an appearance in a limited run or as a prototype at the event, but you can be sure that as soon as we hear anything, you guys will know about it first!
