Blackdots’ official Madballs merch announced…

img_9388

Jumping on the recent resurgence of classic gross-out toy line Madballs, sofubi producers Blackdots have revealed that they’ll be teaming up with license holders American Greetings for a whole host of official merchandise soon! Whilst specifics still remain close guarded, we’re told to expect a wide range of items, including both sofubi slot banks, and more interestingly for us, a range of Madballs-inspired keshi. With just an announcement in place at the moment, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for more news on this hotly tipped project soon…

EPSW x Cryptodude’s Vyle Lyle foam ball…

Up and coming lifestyle brand EPSW (Eat Pussy, Smoke Weed) are proud to announce the debut of their first ever toy, Vyle Lyle! Heavily inspired by cult gross-out toy line Madballs, the gruesome piece has been sculpted and produced by ball aficionado Cryptodude, coming cast in an authentic squishy foam, layered with latex and treated to an awesome bloody paint app. With 2 one-off versions going on sale in the EPSW store this Friday, May 27th at Noon Eastern time, expect a full reveal of the figure on the guys’ Instagram feed over the next couple of days…

Chris Grondin aka Cryptodude has teamed up with music collective Tobacco to transform the Black Moth Super Rainbow mascot into a fully fledged, Madballs-style toy! Designed and sculpted by Chris based on the bubble gum blowing rainbow (albeit with the artist’s signature “siamese face” twist), the approximately 3″ wide ball has been produced in a similar soft latex foam as the original 80’s gross-out balls, coming with layers of vivid sprays and hand brushed detailing. Going on sale through Black Moth Super Rainbow soon, interested parties are going to need to sign up to their mailing list here to be in with a chance at bagging one of these beauties!

Oriha Kat’s “Pizza Face” Killer Ball…

Japan-based toy artist Oriha Kat  has just revealed a follow-up to his first Killer Ball release “Da Ma Fukuwarain”, proudly presenting the super-gross “Pizza Face”! Once again inspired by cult 80’s toy line Madballs, the suitably “loose” looking sculpt measures in at an authentic 3″ wide (around the same size as a softball), coming hand cast in a squishy latex rubber and treated to a bootleg-style paint app in acrylics. Coming housed in an ingenious package inspired by Domino’s take out pizza boxes, we’re told to expect Pizza Face’s first release in these at Wonderfestival Winter 2016 early next month… But that’s not all! Joining the full-sized release, Kat will also be unleashing both “Da Ma Fukuwarain” and “Pizza Face” in mini keshi-form. Around half the size of the standard balls, these reduced versions have been produced in a bouncy rubber, coming both painted and blank in a variety of neon colorways. Here’s hoping Kat will finally start offering these amazing figures up to western customers soon!
