Paul Kaiju‘s mini quintet return in an all-new painted colorway this week

  • Size: 2″-2.5″ each
  • Articulation: 1 point (neck/waist)
  • Edition size: TBC
  • Price: $70 plus shipping
  • Boss Carrion, Unchiman, Mockbat, Demon Dog, and Mockpet have been cast in a pink sofubi, coming with various pink, blue, and gold sprays with hand painted detailing
  • Released via email lottery starting today (5/5) 12pm PST and ending on Monday, May 8th at 12PM PST, interested parties are going to need to mail TAG (sales@toyartgallery.com) with “PK GACHA Lottery” as the subject along with their paypal address and shipping info
  • If selected you will be sent an invoice for payment. Please allow 24 hours for a response after the closing time (Monday 12PM PST). Winners will be chosen at random, one entry per participant (if you submit more than once you will be disqualified)

Medicom Toy’s Vinyl Gatcha Artist Series 7 revealed…

Having had continued success with their Vinyl Artist Gacha line over the past couple of years, the guys vet at Medicom Toy are proud to reveal that a seventh series of the multi-artist minis will be touching down next month! This time featuring the return of PicoPico’s “Gakky-Kun” in alternate colorways, th little guy havs been joined by all-new additions the “Good Luck Darumaboya” from Hariken (sculpted by TTToy), “Batesuto God” from Perfect Studioand “Baby Rangeron” from Koraters and T9G. Following a similar template to previous VAG releases, the set of 4  figures feature a stanard 2.5″ tall 2-part design that come in a selection of 5 randomly assorted colorways. Touching down at Village Vangard alongside 26 other Japan-based retailers throughout June for a super-cheap 463yen ($4) each, expect to see VAG Series 7 to roll out internationally within the next few months…

Medicom Toy‘s Vinyl Artist Gacha series continues to expand with the announcement of the sixth series in little over 12 months! Featuring a rather different line-up than past releases, Series 6 once again consists of 4 figures, this time not just spanning the world of sofubi, but music and anime too. Joining a miniature rendition of Anraku Ansaku’s adorable Tanuki no Pokopon, we have Space Shower’s Hanuman (prototyped by series regular Mirock Toy, hip hop band Group Inou’s Dolphin-kun mascot (prototyped by Cosmo Liquid) and Wonder Masamitsu (prototyped by PicoPico), taken from Maruo Suehiro’s “girl Camellia”, an anime coming to Japanese theatres this May. Following a similar template to previous VAG releases, the set of 4 new figures feature a standard 2.5″ tall 2-part design that come in a selection of 5 randomly assorted colorways. Touching down at Village Vangard alongside 26 other Japan-based retailers throughout March for a super-cheap 463yen ($4) each, we can expect worldwide releases to roll out over the following months…

Max Toy Co’s Monster Boogie Gatchapon Series unveiled…

Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has just unveiled an absolutely huge new release that’ll be seeing the light of day soon, the Monster Boogie Gatchapons! The brain child of Max Toy’s producer Quack Maxx, the series is set to feature a whopping total of 10 different mini-sized sculpts from a variety of different artists, including the Dino Bros from Pico Pico, a car-humanoid character who appears to be from PPPudding, plus a new rendition of Nagata’s own Eyezon. With a few of the figures already revealed in vinyl (as far back as October last year!), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed these awesome little guys see their first release soon…

Shinichiro Kato of Art Junkie fame is proud to reveal that he’ll be joining forces with One-Up for the release of his latest sofubi mini, the adorable Calm Cat! Similar to One-Up’s previous gacha-style releases, the 3-eyed feline appears to stand at around 2.5″ tall, coming with one point of articulation in the neck. Likely to be making an appearance in the One-Up gachapon machines in a variety of colors early next year, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for an online release soon…
