Whilst Bwana Spoons’ Gravy Toys have unfortunately forgone holding their own booth at NYCC ’15 this year, we can take solace in the fact that they’ll be making an appearance at the Clutter Magazine booth over the event’s 4 day stretch! Featuring a huge selection of both toys and art including Suns of Brodarr NYCC blind bags, Hobo Gravy Shogun figures, Radabonzical Eyeboras, new Cloudboy and Paulo silk screenprints as well as customs, tees, a new zine and a preview of the latest SoB figure, Cyborg Stardust! Devils Head Productions have teamed up with the punk rock underground experience know as The Micfits to give you an awesome Disney themed treat… presenting the Maleficent tribute release! Featuring DHP’s Alavaka sofubi painted in metallic tones to mimic the classic villain from the 1959 animated feature “Sleeping Beauty”, the release is also set to include a variant colorway based the evil black raven “Diablo” who is Maleficent’s confidante and assistant in the film. To be joined by a set of two 5 x 7 inch prints featuring a Maleficent themed Micfits character (including an evil chase), the “Maleficent” Alavakas will be making a simultaneous appearance in both the DHP and Micfits stores this coming Saturday, July 25th for just $70 each plus shipping. Following up last year’s series of Bones resin figures, DKE Toys have once again teamed up with Mike Egan for a special batch of SDCC ’15 exclusive “Mike Edition” Lucky figures! Hand cast in resin by BlockHeads Toys with additional wing detailing sculpted by George Gaspar, the piece – inspired by Bones’ Star Wars-themed backer cards – comes mounted on an oversized, hand painted wood panel from Mike based on the “Power of the Force” package art. Limited to an edition of just 20 figures this time around, the “Mike Edition” Luckys will be available alongside a whole host of other exclusives at DKE Toys’ SDCC ’15 booth (#5045) this week for just $100 each…
Continuing his onslaught of releases over the next few weeks, Alex Gavryushenko over at New York-based apparel and toy brand Psycho Scimitar has just revealed the latest round of works to hit his store… a trifecta of creepy wooden masks! Entitled (clockwise from top) “Siamese Croc”, “Qoob” and “Pustulator”, these beautifully realised pieces come in at around 12″ x 16″, with each coming with a unique hand carved and painted design complete with removable handle for ease of display. Currently up for grabs in the Psycho Scimitar store right here, the masks will set you back $150 each plus shipping…
