Originally making an appearance as an SDCC ’15 exclusive last month, Lamour Supreme is proud to reveal that he has a limited number of “Red Menace” Mongo-Lion sofubi available right now! Standing at around 6″ tall and featuring articulation in the arms, waist and head, the figure has been produced by Super7 in a bright red soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with a mix of gold, silver, black and pink sprays. Currently up for grabs via e-mail order at AThingOfEvil@gmail.com, the standard version has been priced at $65, whilst the elusive unpainted test pull can be yours for $90…


MAN-E-NEWS// RESTORE’s “Iron Meat” sofubi test pull revealed…

Originally announced right here back in April, the incredible “Iron Meat” SFB from RESTORE has finally been revealed as a finished vinyl test pull! Said to be the friend of the previously released “Neo Japan”, the lumbering cyborg – originally realised in garage kit form (below) has been reimagined by RESTORE’s Abe Junnokai, standing at little over 8″, coming with 8 points of articulation and featuring clear cutaway sections in the stomach and on the head. Likely to be making it’s debut at Wonderfestival Summer ’15 next month, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a full, painted reveal over the coming weeks…

MAN-E-NEWS// Secretoy’s Cinema Monster test-shot revealed…

Originally revealed as a near finished clay proto back in June, Splurrt‘s debut release under his new Secretoy brand – the Cinema Monster – has just been spotted as a vinyl test shot! On display at the Rampage Toys Design Fiesta 40 booth this weekend, the awesome mid-large size kaiju draws inspiration from the golden age of monster flicks, including Ray Harryhausen’s classic Cyclops and the 2-headed beast that graces the iconic cover of 1968’s Famous Monsters of Filmland yearbook. Hopefully set to make it’s debut before the year is out, be sure to stay tuned for more info on this must-have figure as soon as we hear anything…


MAN-E-NEWS// Comet Debris x Super7’s Zombie Imp test shot revealed…

Koji Harmon over at Comet Debris has just revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Super7 for an all-new “Zombie Imp” Fighter head! Pictured here as a flesh test shot, we can only assume that the first batch of unpainted figures will be making their way into a few of the S7 Lucky Bags next Friday, June 13th. Gino Joukar over at TAG has just unveiled a test shot of the latest exclusive figure to come from the gallery, Ron English‘s Urban Bigfoot! Standing at roughly 7″ tall and coming with 3 points of articulation, the hi-top, beanie wearing beast is due to be making it’s debut in soft vinyl at a soon to be revealed English solo show in the near future. Keep an eye out for more details soon, and lets all keep our fingers crossed that the pictured glow vinyl features as part of the first release!


MAN-E-NEWS// The Max Toy x Teresa Chiba “Kibunadon” sofubi test shot revealed…

Following our look at the finished clay proto just a couple of weeks back, Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has just revealed Teresa Chiba‘s Kibunadon as a soft vinyl test shot! Winner of last year’s Kaiju Gals competition, the beautiful 4.5″ tall, 5 part design was expertly sculpted by Makino-san of TTToys, with the first full run planned in April at the Design Festa gallery, Tokyo. Stay tuned for more details as soon as we get it, and be sure to head over to the Toy Karma blog right here for some further reading on Teresa and her work…


MAN-E-NEWS// Frank Kozik’s Hateball sofubi test shot revealed…

Frank Kozik has just revealed that the long awaited Hateball sofubi will finally be seeing the light of day soon! Sculpted by Klim at Bigshot Toyworks and produced by Grody Shogun, 2 different sizes have been planned; a stand alone version that has been designed to fit MISHKA’s Bootlegs (presumably the above) and another smaller version that is due to be making an appearance as part of a new, full figure later in the year. Pictured here in a clear blue soft vinyl alongside a WIP shot of the figure’s header art, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that this speedy progress will mean a release in the next couple of weeks…
