DSC_0451

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed not one, but two brand spanking new releases that’ll be touching down in his store next weekend! First up, we have the debut of the previously featured Paleo Don and Morel Black. The latest figures to feature in Gravy Toys’ ongoing Suns of Brodarr series, the pair have been collaboratively designed and sculpted by Jon and Bwana Spoons, coming in at 5.5″ tall complete with 7 interchangeable parts as well as a 2-part club omake. Produced by Rampage in a blank GID vinyl for their first outing (flesh test shot pictured), the pair will be offered up as a set via unlimited preorder for just $95 plus shipping…

Next, we have the long awaited arrival of a certain wintery kaiju just in time for summer (?!), the Ultra Kaiju series’ Woo! The latest figure to feature in Rampage’s officially Tsuburaya-licensed series, the adorable protector of the mountains stands at around 5″ tall, coming complete with his long-term companion Yuki-Chan in 1″ omake form. Going on sale in the Rampage store alongside Paleo Don and Morel Black next Saturday, June 11th at 8pm Eastern, Woo will set you back just $45…

Having worked on numerous paint runs together in the past, long time buddies Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys and Bwana Spoons of Gravy Toys have finally joined forces to work on an all-new sofubi release…  the unlikely duo Paleo Don and Morel Black! Co-designed by the pair with sculpting and production courtesy of Rampage, the dapper looking figures feature a suited body in a similar action figure-vein to the Suns of Brodarr line, with interchangeable Don/Morel head and arms from RT and GT respectively. Pictured here in test-shot form, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first release within the next couple of months…

The team behind Japanese retailer and gallery space Milkboy are proud to announce the arrival of their first ever sofubi, the as-yet-untitled kuma bear you see above! Whilst we have very little information to go on at present, it would appear from this recently posted image that the vintage-style teddy has been sculpted by none other than Kenth Toy Works, coming in at a mid-sized 4″-5″ tall (TBC) and featuring articulation in the arms, legs and head. Pictured here in an unpainted teal soft vinyl, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for word on the first release soon…

Splurrt’s “Kronos” test shot revealed…

First seen in prototype form way back in September of last year, the follow-up to Splurrt/Secretoy’s Cinema Monster – Kronos – has finally been revealed as a soft vinyl test shot! As with the original, the second CM beast has once again been inspired by the golden age of monster flicks, this time taking on Ray Harry Hausen’s iconic sea creature the “Kraken” from 1981 epic Clash of the Titans. Standing at around the same height of the first Cinema Monster at 10″ tall, the figure – whilst featuring a familiar head sculpt and textures – ditches the Kraken’s multiple tails in favour of chunky, four-armed design more in-keeping with the look of the series. Pictured here in a gorgeous yellow soft vinyl, here’s hoping we see the Kraken debut over the next couple of months…
