Blurble has just revealed that his long awaited follow-up to Sparrow will be making it’s debut as part of the “Funds For Seth” charity auction tomorrow! A jumbo-sized, 6″ tall rendition of the original 3.5″ resin mini figure, Sparrow 2.0 has once again been digitally sculpted by iamscumbag, coming complete with 2 fully interchangeable heads, 3 points of articulation, a fully working skateboard accessory plus an extra hat for good measure. Produced by Dubose Art in an unpainted flesh tone rubber, the one-off figure will be up for grabs alongside a whole host of donated toys, paintings and prints through the dedicated Funds For Seth Instagram page starting at 9pm Pacific time this Friday, November 28th. MAN-E-NEWS// Brown Noize’s “Spinning Head Sunshine” 3D prints available now…

674x501_1149924_1068624_1371067441

Running into a number of issues with production at the beginning of the year, we thought the small batch of rubber Spinning Head Sunshines produced by Muscle Things would be the last we’d see of the incredible M.U.S.C.L.E homage… well, thanks to the help of Shapeways, Brown Noize are now able to offer the figure up as a direct 3D print! With a number of different options including a budget solid, stainless steel and the preferred hi-res ‘hollow’ finish, the #195 (Sunshine F M.U.S.C.L.E) compatible figure comes with a few modifications to make it a little more suitable to the medium… including a whopping great mace accessory! With prices starting at €16.61 right up to €87.65, SHS can be found in his various forms on the Brown Noize Shapeways page right here

MAN-E-NEWS// Rivet Wars ‘Archival MT-1 Locomotion Tests’ from Ted Terranova…

Ahead of a full reveal of the latest additions to the Rivet Wars series (check out the protos here), Ted Terranova has leaked some secret ‘archival’ test footage of a never before seen design, the MT-1 Locomotion! Appearing to be a cross between the new ‘Walker’ vehicle and the original Vert tank, we can only assume that this was how the Walker was originally fleshed out… although we’re kind of hoping it’s the reveal of Rivet Wars’ first articulated figure! As always, Ted remains tight lipped about exact release dates or availability, but you can be sure that as soon as we here anything of the MT-1, plus the previous 3 designs, we’ll be covering it right here…

MAN-E-NEWS// New Rivet Wars protos from Ted Terranova…

After months of agonising waiting, it would appear that the next batch of Rivet Wars figures are nearly ready to go as Ted Terranova reveals 3 new sculpts! Joining the MonoWheel we posted a while back, Ted has been concentrating on the vehicular side of the series with the introduction of the “Walker” and an all-new steam powered boat/tank alongside the highly anticipated  “Rocket Bike”. Blowing even the highly detailed Quad Stug out of the water in terms of complexity, it’ll be interesting to see how Ted tackles the casting on these guys… we’re guessing it’ll involve a hell of a lot of assembly and post production! News on release dates and proposed editions are still forthcoming (although our money is on a certain Small Angry Monster getting involved on custom duties at some point!), so be sure to stay tuned over the coming weeks for further developments.

Thanks to SpankyStokes for the heads up…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Challie mini figures from MXD x Muscle Things…

Soupie over at Minifigures XD has teamed up with Muscle Things for the production of his very first toy release, the cheeky Challie! Digitally sculpted by Soupie a few months back and realised by the guys over at Shapeways (pictured top right), the 3D print has made it’s way over to Muscle Things’ Alec for casting in his special mix of “black magic” rubber… With the first two making their way over to Soupie as we speak (the pictured neon yellow and clear blue), we’re guessing the first official batch will be up for grabs in the Muscle Things store at some point next week. Soupie has stated that this will be the first of many figures under the MXD banner, so stay tuned for further updates soon!
