MAN-E-NEWS// Bigmantoys’ “Blade” Puppet Master-inspired keshi revealed…

Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 15.14.09

Hot on the heals of the recently featured “Tunneler“, Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys has just unveiled yet another mini figure sculpt based on “The Puppet Master”, this time taking on arguably the most recognisable character from the cult horror series… the Blade! Digitally sculpted by Lee in Z-Brush, the weapon-handed “spy” doll once again features a similar aesthetic to the classic Kinnikuman/M.U.S.C.L.E line – albeit with Charles Band‘s distinct air of horror – presumably coming in-scale with both the iconic minis and previously revealed “Tunneler” at around 2″ tall. Similarly, whilst licensing for Blade is still to be confirmed, official or not, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release in a keshi-style rubber on the Bigmantoys store soon…

“In the distant future mankind has allied itself with highly intelligent psychic whales. Under the guidance of those wise animals humanity stopped polluting the earth and started to peacefully explore the galaxy. But they were soon attacked by an army of evil marauding aliens. Now it is up to the whales to save the day. With the help of powerful robot armor the heroic Mechawhales fight to bring back peace to the universe…”

In celebration of his “Mechawhale” You Tube channel joining the Frederator Network, Hauke Scheer over at Deep Fried Figures has expanded the brand’s toy line with a whole slew of new figures plus a custom kit for the original PVC release! First up, we have the arrival of the latest Mechawhale, Beluga. Based on the character’s animation model from the beloved web series, the figure stands at little under 3″ tall – in scale with the PVC version – coming 3D printed in a number of separate parts ready for you to assemble and paint. Next up, we have the Human Troopers and Alien Invaders. Representing both the good and bad factions of the Mechawhales battle, these 1 part minis range from just 0.5″-2.5″ each, again coming 3D printed in an unpainted white plastic. Last, but by no means least, we have the Captain Moby customizing set. Created for use with the original Mechawhale PVC figure, these additions – including a new gun arm and eye target – can be attached to transform the piece into the fearsome whale last seen in the first episode of Mechawhales… All currently up for grabs in Deep Fried Figures’ Sculpteo store right here, prices range between $7.85 to $88.13 dependant on size and finish…
