MAN-E-NEWS// The Snack Attack: Sgt Angus rubber mini figure from 1ShotToys…

Screen Shot 2013-06-05 at 14.09.07

A slight sidestep from his critically acclaimed custom Glyos heads, Eric over at 1ShotToys has been busy readying his first ever mini figure series… Snack Attack! A homage to Mattel’s classic 80’s line ‘Food Fighters’, the hilarious designs are to focus around a more militant theme, featuring fast food lieutenants, majors, commanders and more in the original 1″-2″ scale. First out of the blocks will be Sgt Angus (pictured left), with the meticulously sculpted figure currently undergoing prototyping and rubber production under the watchful gaze of our very own Tru:Tek. A number of colourways, exclusives and all-new figures (including the WIP Cone Commander, right) are due in the very near future, so be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘Muggin Megan’ GPK Cheap Toy custom from Ersico…

gpk ersico 2

Toy artist Ersico once again breathes new life into one of our favourite 80’s toy lines, as he proudly presents one of his latest finished customs… the GPK Cheap Toy, Muggin Megan! Standing at just over 1″ tall, Ersico has opted for a palette true to the original GPK trading card, using a mixture of flesh, pink, blonde and white, coupled with some darker, detail hugging washes. We assume the little guy was created for a private commission, but if you’re interested in a similar piece (and of course have the Cheap Toy to hand!), we suggest heading over to Ersico’s dedicated LRG thread here with any enquiries…
