MAN-E-NEWS// The Angler Armorvor custom from Ersico…

20131110_192847_zps76acd5b0

Never ceasing to amaze with his constant flow of custom work, Ersico comes with quite possibly his most accomplished figure to date, the incredible Angler Armorvor! Featuring a ton of custom parts and additional sculpting, including oversized claws, a huge mane and back pack extension, the figure is one of the first to use the new Godbeast x Jason Frailey “Terror from the Deep” head, coming cast in a clear orange resin with a Glyos jointed headpiece and articulated jaw. Painted in Ersico’s signature blend of layered weathering and detail hugging washes, the stunning figure should hopefully be up for grabs in the Ersico store at some point in the near future (price TBC)…

DSC07452_zps0b7754a5

Teaming up together for the very first time, mighty mini figure customisers Ersico and Glyog are proud to present a gargantuan custom Glyos drop! Featuring a dizzying array of custom builds, third party resin casts and 80’s toy mash-ups, the line-up of 15 figures were originally conceived by Glyog, with the majority of painting and finishing carried out by Ersico. Due to touch down in the Ersico store this coming Monday, September 9th at 9.30pm EST, expect to pay around $25-$50 per figure… But that’s not all! Well aware that they’ll be dropping their figures a day after the next official Glyos release, the guys have decided to offer up the above Decepti-Suck custom to one lucky purchaser! Anyone spending over $25 during the sale will be granted an entry for the giveaway, with every additional $25 receiving another. The winner will be announced on September 20th, so be sure to get your order in soon! Head over to the drop’s dedicated thread on October Toys here for a closer look at what’ll be on offer…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Humavor custom Glyos from Evilos…

Evilos-Humavor-100

With the pieces from Killer Bootlegs‘ recent ‘Toys Are Us’ group show now up for grabs through the Rockford Art Deli online store, we’ve decided to shine some light on one particular figure that caught our eye, the ‘Humavor’ custom Glyos from Evilos… Apart from being quite a change from the norm for the Disney Vinylmation artist, the beautifully rendered piece offers up one of those rare “Why hasn’t this been done before?” moments. With all of the stunning anthropomorphic, abstract and futuristic sculpts for the popular Armorvor figure we’ve seen so far, it’s a wonder a realistic human head design doesn’t already exist, but Evilos does it here, and with a flair all his own… Packaged in an authentic clamshell pack with Star Wars style backer, the Humavor can be found in the R.A.D store right here for $100 plus shipping. Stay tuned tomorrow as we take a look at another piece from the show, ManOrMonster? Studios’ Ray Gun!

MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘War Pugs’ custom Armorvor heads from 1Shot Toys…

1shot

“Meanwhile… on the war-torn planet Snort57z the WAR PUGS with their bowls empty, no water or treats in sight they head out cute and cuddly to destroy the universe looking to fulfill they needs! So look out for the WAR PUG!”

We’ve been meaning to feature artist Eric Villanueva of 1Shot Toys for quite some time now, and with his latest custom Glyos head, the War Pug, just receiving a restock in his store, we thought now would be just as good a time as any… Well known amongst the Glyos community for his prowess in both sculpting and production, the War Pug is the latest in the artist’s line of anthropomorphic Armorvor head sculpts, coming cast in a variety of different resin finishes including clear, GID green and orange. Priced at just $10 plus shipping, the piece can be found in the 1Shot Toys store right here… Stay tuned for more from the artist soon!

Note// Armorvor body shown above is for display purposes only.

MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Hare Armorvor head from Zectron…

In between a stack of upcoming projects with our very own Tru:Tek and Bigmantoys (look out for previews soon!), our partner in crime “The Amazing Zectron” has managed to squeeze in a rather awesome looking personal project… the custom ‘Hare’ Armorvor head! Inspired by his love for the original Rabbit Battle Beast (of which Armorvor is based upon), the head and custom armour has been sculpted in the artist’s unmistakably tight style, making for one of THE hottest custom Armorvors yet… we’d even go as far to say it rivals Jason Frailey’s original designs! With production duties heading to the more than capable hands of Tru:Tek, expect to see the head, plus some undisclosed accessories (!) available soon. The casts will be made to order, so if any of you guys are interested, be sure to leave a comment below…
