MAN-E-NEWS// Triclops’ B.A.S.T.A.R.D Show at Rampage Studios…

teaser

Following an insane showing at ToyCon UK earlier in the month (head over here for the full lowdown), the Triclops boys have just revealed that they will be putting on the first B.A.S.T.A.R.D show in Japan next month! To be hosted/curated by Rampage Studios‘ Jon Malmstedt, the exhibition is set to feature a ton of figures from the new series, some collaborations (including the teased B.A.S.T.A.R.D from Rampage Toys above), plus a whole host of surprises… No news as to whether the recently revealed ‘Bullet Belt’ Skinner collab will be making an appearance, but you can be sure as soon as we hear anything you guys will be the first to know…

MAN-E-NEWS// Triclops Studios at ToyCon UK…

We’ve been dying to hook up with the guys at Triclops Studios for a while now, so with ToyCon UK over the weekend we took the opportunity to talk shop, grab some B.A.S.T.A.R.Ds (including the pictured ‘DumbRare’ 1/1 Drilla Killa!) and take a sneaky look at the upcoming ‘Bullet Belt’ Skinner collab… Offering up a ton of mini figures both old and new, fans were given the chance of nabbing a number of exclusive B.A.S.T.A.R.D hand paints (including the return of the uber rare Pig Buddha!), Peenut Mega B.A.S.T.A.R.Ds, the long awaited Unbox produced flexible plastic Goober and Big.B, plus the all-new line up of 12 resins! Taking the line away from it’s M.U.S.C.L.E inspired roots, the hilarious new figures instead lampoon 80’s and 90’s kid-culture, featuring a wonderfully diverse selection of designs inspired by the likes of MOTU (Man@Legs), TMNT (TMNT0rtoise & 3Bop), The Toxic Crusaders (Harmful Avenger) and Beetlejuice (Bettleman)…

Whilst it was great to see so many new figures on offer, the real star of the booth came in the form of the 10″ Bullet Belt prototype. Designed by Skinner and produced by Unbox as the first release in Triclops’ super-sized B.A.S.T.A.R.D Universe project, the incredible ‘mini’ figure is in the final stages of development, so should hopefully be heading to the shelves in the not too distant future… Stay tuned for more info on both Bullet Belt and the B.A.S.T.A.R.D ‘reboot’ general release soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// Plastic B.A.S.T.A.R.D mini figures and the B.A.S.T.A.R.D Universe from Triclops Studios…

sneak9-1

With ToyConUK a mere 24 hours away now, the pair over at Triclops Studios have started to reveal the huge selection of new toys that’ll be on offer at their booth… and judging by the first 2 offerings, they most certainly aim to please! Mentioned in our previous post last week, the B.A.S.T.A.R.D Universe will not be an artist series as previously thought, but a monster collaboration between the guys, Skinner and Unbox Industries! Unlike the standard B.A.S.T.A.R.D line, ‘Elephant Graveyard’ appears to be in a much larger scale, whilst still retaining the sensibilities of 80’s mini figures. We’re still not sure if the piece will be made available at the con, so stay tuned for the full lowdown tomorrow…

Joining B.A.S.T.A.R.D Universe, Triclops will also be unveiling their much anticipated ‘plastic’ B.A.S.T.A.R.D’s, Goober and Big B.A.S.T.A.R.D. Cast in a hard wearing ABS style material, the figures will be available in a ToyConUK exclusive Custard and Grape. Unable to make the event? Then you’ll be glad to know that a batch will be heading online soon after…
