Celebrating the first year of tabletop/art toy crossover series Kaiju Kaos: Smackdown in style, creator Bryan Borgman has teamed up with Acheson Creations for a truly momentous Kickstarter campaign! Offering up a total of 12 new figures to compliment the past year’s releases, Bryan has secured designs from some of the biggest names in the indie mini figure scene right now, including Ironhaus Productions, Bigmantoys, Papagrim, Sandbagger and of course, himself. Currently available through a number of different pledge tiers, ranging from $10 for a single, right up to $70 for the full set, the 2″ scale figures are due to come hand cast in a Monster Kolor dyed “Vivid Slime” green resin exclusively for the project, with further colourways planned throughout the year. Already over half funded in just 48 hours, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for further stretch goals and incentives as the campaign nears it’s target. Continuing their run of themed releases, Bryan Borgman over at Bailey Records is proud to reveal that a swarm of aliens will be invading the world of Kaiju Kaos all next week! Touching down in the Bailey Records store tomorrow (12/1) at 9pm Eastern, the event is set to play host to a whole slew of intergalactic mini figures, including Smackdown “Shima” and “Earwig” customs from Clawfreak, Mark Nagata, Ersico and Super Sandbagger. Priced at an unbelievable $10 each plus shipping, we suggest setting your alarms for these as they most certainly won’t be around for long…

Continuing their run of themed releases in the build up to the Holidays, Bryan Borgman over at Bailey Records is proud to present “Zombie Week” in the world of Kaiju Kaos! Touching down in the Bailey Records store at 9pm Eastern tonight (12/15), the event is set to play host to a whole slew of undead mini figures, including Smackdown customs from Clawfreak, Mark Nagata, Ersico and Super Sandbagger, sculpts from Stratos and Ironhaus Pro, and new unpainted 28mm metal gaming miniatures. With prices ranging from just $2-$10 plus shipping, we suggest heading over early as these most certainly won’t be hanging around for long!

Featuring a number of 2″ resin cast figures from indie toy crossover series KK: Smackdown, Bryan managed to secure customs from a number of the scene’s biggest artists, including Ersico, Mark Nagata, Clawfreak and Super Sandbagger. Available in the Bailey Records store right here, we suggest heading over soon to avoid any disappointment- customs have been limited to just 2 per artist, and are priced at an unbelievable $10 across the board!

Within the final few days of his Super Robot StratoMaxx Kickstarter campaign, Bryan Borgman of Kaiju Kaos is proud to reveal a number of custom tiers for the hulking 13″ of fully articulated resin! Intended as 1 of 4 core ‘colossal’ characters for the extensive Kaiju Kaos tabletop universe, the figure takes inspiration from classic Super Robot designs such as Mazinger Z, Gigantor, UFO Robot Grendizer, and Mattel’s Shogun Warriors. With the Kickstarter intended to raise funds in order to produce the piece as a fully fledged garage-style resin kit, the new tiers put in place now offer one-off, fully painted and assembled versions from some of the indie toy scene’s finest, including Clawfreak (Jason Speth), Ersico (Eric Sorrells), Evilos (Christopher Charles Avalos),Mark Nagata, and Super_SandBagger (JR Deem)- and all for just $200 a piece! Bowing to pressure from fans since the initial ‘Black’ release a couple of months back, Bryan Borgman of Bailey Records has just revealed a slew of new brighter colourways for both ‘Earwig’ and ‘Optithulu’ Kaiju Kaos:SD figures! Cast (and sculpted in the case of Earwig) by Papagrim’s Steve Patt, each version, barring the standard ‘Gamer Gray’, has been limited to just 10 pieces each. Here’s the full lowdown on what’s currently on offer…

For Earwig the Insectien:

  • Black (this is the original offering made available separately from the original 3-pack) for $8 each
  • Blueberry (opaque blue resin) for $8 each
  • Game Gray (opaque gray resin) for $8 each
  • Spearmint Green (opaque green resin) for $8 each
  • Strawberry Red (opaque red resin) for $8 each

For Optithulhu the Eldritch Horror:

  • Blueberry (opaque blue resin) for $8 each

After just over a month since their release, Bryan Borgman’s awesome Kaiju Kaos ‘Smackdown’ mini figures are finally starting to receive the love they deserve from the custom toy community, with the first fully painted set coming from the more than capable hands of Ersico… Designed, sculpted and cast by Papagrim Toys‘ Steve Patt, each of the 2.5″ resin mini figures has been given the artist’s signature treatment of earthy washes, black rubs and tight detailing to produce the incredible pieces you see above. Unfortunately we have no release details on these guys, so we suggest heading over to the Ersico blog here with any enquiries…
