Blackdots‘ line of Madball sofubi coin banks return with the first “OG” colorway this week

  • Size: 6.7″ (individual ball 2.75″)
  • Articulation: 5 points (neck, arms, legs) plus additional “feet” display stand
  • Price: 8,640yen each plus shipping
  • Sculpted by Kenth Toy Works in the style of the original Madballs Head Poppers, Horn Head features a detachable head (the same scale as the OG Madballs) that can either be displayed on its own or with the included stand
  • Cast in a purple sofubi for this release, Hornhead comes complete with a black, red, yellow, black and silver paint app inspired by the original ball
  • Currently available in the Yamakichiya store right here

Blackdots‘ Oculus Orbus and Horn Head Madballs return for their first painted colorway this week

  • Size: 6.7″ each (individual ball 2.75″)
  • Articulation: 5 points (neck, arms, legs) plus additional “feet” display stand
  • Price: 16,200yen each plus shipping
  • Sculpted by Kenth Toy Works in the style of the original Madballs Head Poppers, both Oculus Orbus and Horn Head feature a detachable head (the same scale as the OG Madballs) that can either be displayed on its own or with the included stand
  • Both come in KTW’s signature marbled paint app with layers of dark pastel sprays and hand painted detailing

Blackdots’ Madballs sofubi coin banks teased…

Originally announced last week, we can now reveal the first teasers for Blackdots‘ officially licensed Madballs sofubi coin banks! Whilst we can’t confirm any details at present, it appears that there will be 2 very different designs from the franchise up for grabs; a version of Skull Face, coming complete with a small “hand” stand, and our favourite Slobulus, featuring a rather more appealing full-body sculpt inspired by the original Madball Head Poppers. Whilst release details still remain close guarded, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the unveiling of these latest teasers means they won’t be too far off.
