With Gory Hole‘s relaunch just over a week away now, we’ve decided to give you guys a closer look at one of the many items that’ll be up for grabs in-store next Friday, June 24th… the deluxe Warui Zonbi mini sets! Solely focussing on our legion of keshi fans this time around, these sweet packs consist of mini rubber versions of both Selwyn and SS Werewolf from series 1 (designed by Tru:Tek and sculpted by TTToy’s Makino-san) in a previously unreleased flesh-tone, matching soft enamel pin badges designed by Kotobuki-man, plus a matching Bikkuriman-style holographic sticker- all packed up in a custom hand cut windowed display box. Limited to an edition of just 20 sets, these will be going on sale alongside a whole slew of soon-to-be-revealed t-shirts, pins, patches and one-off custom sofubi… Look out for more info soon!
Teased here just a few weeks back, we can now reveal the third Splatter Retsuden keshi from Kotobuki Man’s Uncut imprint in-full, proudly presenting the Maniac Police! Inspired by cult horror flick Maniac Cop’s lead protagonist, the Bikkuriman-style keshi appears to be the same size as the previously released SP figures (Boropushi/Mush-Man), coming in at around 2.5″. Set to make its debut alongside a companion holographic sticker at Superfestival 69 next Sunday, September 27th, a choice of flesh, green, blue and pink colorways will be up for grabs at around 2,500yen ($20) each… Here’s hoping for an international release soon after!
Originally teased here earlier in the month, we can now reveal that the first round of officially licensed “Human Centipede” keshi from Geek Life and Six Entertainment is now up for grabs! Coinciding with the launch of the infamous horror series’ third and final “sequence” in Japanese cinemas, the release consists of 2 figures to start with, crazed surgeon “Dr Heiter” and a generic “Centipede Human”, both have been sculpted by Kenth Toy Works‘ Komori Kentaro Kenth, coming in-scale with contemporary keshi figures at around 1.5″-2.5″ each. Produced in a keshi-style soft resin, both figures are available in a choice of 4 different colorways – flesh, orange, blue and green – coming in at just 2,000yen each plus shipping. Currently up for grabs in the Geek Life store right here, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the remaining 3 figures from the series (Jenny, Lindsay and Katsuro) are set to follow soon…
We don’t seem to feature too many privately commissioned customs on Man-E-Toys these days, but upon seeing the latest work from Japanese artists Le Kuo and Gusion M, we simply couldn’t resist… presenting their incredible “Freddy Krueger” Longneck Moon Maijin! Garnering a huge amount of attention recently for their miniaturised apparel-based customs, the pair’s latest, Nightmare on Elm Street-inspired piece follows a similar approach, featuring a hand sewn red and black striped jumper, spiked glove and leather fedora over the top of a gore-soaked flesh and black paint app. Whilst unfortunately already in the hands of one seriously lucky collector, anyone interested in bagging a similar piece can hit the guys up at firstname.lastname@example.org with their enquiries…
Tim Stephson over at Ultimate Skull and Cobra has taken on the cult classic Hellraiser for his latest release, proudly presenting the Pinhead mini bust! Staning at around 3.5″ tall (TBC), the beautifully realised head-to-torso figure has been hand sculpt and cast in resin by Tim, coming complete with what appears to be a super-ornate rendition of the film’s infamous puzzle box in 3D printed form. Whilst we’re still unsure of how the figures are to be finished, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that those rather ominous fish hooks and laser cut box faces will feature as part of the end product in one way or another… Keep track of Tim’s Instagram feed here for more developments on the project soon!
With Nevermore Pictures attempting to revive cult 80’s classic Critters with their recently announced fan film Critters 3D, both Retroband and Worthy Enemies have jumped on board to help kickstart the project with an exclusive action figure released based on the furry little beasts! Coming in at around 1:18 scale, the 2″ tall resin figures have been sculpted, cast and painted by Retroband, with custom handmade card backers featuring art from Worthy Enemies. Currently available via preorder in the Nevermore store ahead of of the film’s upcoming Kickstarter campaign, the figure can be yours for $125 plus shipping… But that’s not all! As a little incentive to purchase early, the guys will also be offering up an exclusive 10″x15″ glossy poster and 8″ die cut sticker! That not enough for you?! Then you’ll be pleased to know that the first 50 people to snag the figure will also be entered into a lottery to win a companion “Bounty Hunter” figure too- more on him soon! Interested parties can head over to the Nevermore Pictures site here to find out a little more about the project…
