12816954_762506503851058_1478962907_n

Originally releasing in extremely limited numbers at DCon ’15 back in November of last year, the highly sought after M.U.S.C.L.E C.A.R.S from Alien Robot Monster will finally see a general release next week! Whilst information on the figure’s origin remains close guarded at present, it appears the mini has been kit-bashed from a classic “Meat” M.U.S.C.L.E and a toy car, coming cast in 2 separate parts using an authentic flesh-tone soft resin. Going on sale in the Alien Robot Monster store next Wednesday, March 23rd for an undisclosed sum, we suggest keeping a close eye on the ARM Instagram feed for more details soon…

UPDATE// We have very kindly been informed by ARM’s Chris that the entire figure was in fact sculpted entirely from scratch using ZBrush! Chris also tells us that the figure will be going on sale at 9am Pacific time on Wednesday, coming in at just $30 plus shipping… Here’s hoping we see more M.U.S.C.L.E C.A.R.S soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Tenacious Toys exclusive “Despair” keshi from Adam Quesnell…

tenacious despair

“Despair is a demon from the 10th Circle of Hell; the level where people who make bad cinematic adaptations of classic toy properties are flayed for eternity. Not your average demon, Despair suffers from severe anxiety disorder and crippling depression. Satan himself even banished Despair from Hell for being a major bummer…

Cast out upon the earth in a fiery geyser of lava and tears, Despair landed in the parking lot of a comedy club that was hosting a weekly open mic night.  Despair put his name on the sign-up sheet, got on stage, and told his story. Since then, he has been punishing himself, night after night, on comedy stages of varying quality throughout the Midwest. He dances and lashes himself for audiences with hopes of selling t-shirts and CDs to drunk people who will not wear or listen to them.”

Hot on the heals of last week’s Valentines release, the debut figure from comedian and avid toy collector Adam Quesnell – DESPAIR – is set to return for an exclusive run through Tenacious Toys! Originally created to celebrate the release of his album “Can We Afford This Much Despair?” on Stand Up! Records, Adam teamed up with illustrator Terence Brown II, October Toys, and our very own Tru:Tek of the Disart Toylabs to bring this sad little guy to life. Standing at around 3″ of 100% UV resistant rubber, the super squishy figure was designed by Terrance and sculpted by the OT team, coming cast in Tenacious Toys’ signature medium blue by Tru:Tek. Touching down in the Tenacious store on March 8th at 12pm Eastern time as part of Super Series Sunday, the figure has been limited to just 10 this time around, each coming packed with a download code for Adam’s album for just $30 a piece plus shipping…
