MAN-E-NEWS// The “Power Claw” custom mini figure from Iconoclast Toys…

Manny X Romero has revealed that he’ll be unleashing a whole swathe of new mini figures into the Iconoclast Toys store later today, including s personal favourite of ours, the retro-tastic Power Claw! The perfect marriage of vintage gaming and toys, the little guy has been bootlegged from M.U.S.C.L.E/Kinnikuman’s infamous “Claw” keshi, coming complete with a beautifully rendered “Power Glove” based on Nintendo’s il fated controller. Touching down in the Iconoclast store at Noon Pacific time, 2 different buying options will be available; an unpainted flesh tone resin for just $5 and a fully painted for $10… Be sure to head over to Manny’s Instagram feed here to check out the other cool pieces on offer!


MAN-E-UPDATE// The “Mad Wrestlers” keshi from Monster Island x Disart ToyLabs…

Originally announced right here last month, we can now reveal the Mad Wrestlers from Monster Island x Disart ToyLabs in their final packaging! Heavily inspired by the Weirdballs mini figure off-shoots, these ingenious little guys feature recast and reduced Madball heads that have been kit-bashed with a number of different M.U.S.C.L.E bodies. Featuring a total of 6 different designs from Monster Island’s Paul Bass – 3 more than the original release – the group have all been recast by our very own Tru:Tek in a flexible, UV resistant rubber. Coming packed on authentic, hand cut “Madballs Vs. M.U.S.C.L.E” cardbacks featuring art from AshMadeThis, these limited edition blistered versions will be up for grabs through Monster Island and ourselves soon. MAN-E-NEWS// Nama Niku x John Black’s skate-themed mini figure series teased…

As if the previously announced Chibi Pachi-Bots weren’t enough, Nama Niku has revealed that he will once again be teaming up with artist John Black for the release of an all-new custom mini figure set! Whilst we don’t have too much information to go on at present, the mini deck propped up alongside the prototype below would suggest a skate theme for the upcoming series. Set to feature a total of 5 figures – 2 each from the pair and 1 as-yet-unannounced – the little guys are due to be cast in a keshi-style rubber coming packed with art from Black. Debuting at DCon in November, look out for more on this promising release soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Chibi Pachi-Bot: Deadly Rays of Death” keshi from Nama Niku x Eric Nilla x John Black…

Originally teased here way back in April, the “Chibi Pachi-Bot: Deadly Rays of Death” keshi mini series from Nama Niku will finally see the light of day soon courtesy of Gargamel/Mitari! Meticulously kit-bashed by Nama from a variety of different vintage keshi mini figures, the quartet – Alpha Minus, Omega Trois, Koroshiya Zelph and Kolob Infinito – all stand at a chibi-sized 0.75″-1″ tall, coming cast up by Eric Nilla in a selection of black washed, metallic colored rubber. Due to come packed with header art from none other than John Black, the Chibi Pachi-Bots will be making their way onto the Mitari online store soon. Originally teased here earlier in the month, we can now reveal that Monster Island‘s awesome “Mad Muscle” custom mini figures are now up for grabs exclusively at Toy Art Gallery! Heavily inspired by the Weirdballs mini figure off-shoots, these ingenious little guys feature recast and reduced Madball heads that have been kit-bashed with a number of different M.U.S.C.L.E bodies. Produced in 2 exclusive resin colorways for the gallery – a white and red – both have been treated to a detail hugging black rub alongside subtle hand painted detailing. Priced at just $30 for a set of 3, the Mad Muscles can be found in limited numbers on the TAG store right here… But that’s not all! Sculptor and illustrator Rufus has just unleashed a whole load of new work in his online store, the pick of the bunch – for us at least! – coming in the form of these awesome OMFG Cry-Borg “Camo” customs! Standing at around 2″ of olive colored PVC, Rufus’ very own entry into OMFG Series 2 has been treated to 3 subtly different camouflage colorways; 4 Color (top), Regular and Small Camo, each coming painted in a multitude of acrylics and finished with a protective clear coat. Limited to just one of each, the “Camo” Cry-Borgs can be found in the Rufus store right here for just $25 each plus shipping…

Legendary toy designer Tim Clarke has just revealed that he’ll be making an appearance at the Clutter NYCC booth with a whole heap of goodies… including these awesome one-off custom Boglin Minis! Just one of the many iconic toy lines that Tim has put his hand to over the years, a total of 4 figures have been resurrected from the classic PVC mini figure sub-series; Bogobones, Blobkin, Bogula and Ice Bucket, each coming hand painted in acrylic by the artist in a mix of different styles and themes. Available alongside a number of other customs from Tim – including a selection of one-off Totim sofubi – expect to see the figures at the artists signing on Saturday, October 11th at Noon local time…
