MAN-E-NEWS// The “Lost DDLM Skull” Condah Transporter from JC Rivera…

Featured here yesterday, JC Rivera‘s latest resin figures, the Condah Transporters, were originally created for the past weekend’s Toy Invaderz show… well today we can exclusively reveal to you a special one-off variant using our very own “Lost Dia De Los Muertos” skull! Joining the awesome custom DDLM skulls of Rich UME and Monsterarm, the figure has been been painted with the utmost respect to our original inspiration, featuring meticulous pattern work around the eyes, cheeks and chin in a beautiful “Day of the Dead” style. Unfortunately just a one-off piece (which shall be hopefully winging it’s way to us soon!), be on the look out for other Condah Transporters soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// JC Rivera’s Condah Transporters at Toy Invaderz…

After teasing us with the Condah mini/skull drop a couple of weeks back (find out more here), JC Rivera proudly presents the full size Condah Transporters in all their glory! Created for the past weekend’s Toy Invaderz event , the series of hand sculpt and cast figures feature the same beautifully realised winged skull alongside Rivera’s signature Chicago Bull… now on top of some amazing looking bodies! Some of our favourite original figures from the Chicago based artist yet, the elongated arms, clean lines and (largely) mono-chromatic colour schemes are reminiscent of early Michael Lau. Unfortunately, these guys in particular were only available for the show, but anyone looking to pick one up will be glad to know that Rivera will be creating various editions for his store soon… Stay tuned tomorrow for the reveal of another special Condah Transporter- the MAN-E-TOYS DDLM skull one-off!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Lost “Dia de los Muertos” Resin Skull street drops begin!

First off, we’d like to give a massive thanks to everyone who bought and supported the Lost “Dia de los Muertos” Resin Skulls release last week. As our first handmade resin figure, we were kind of nervous as to what you guys would think, so it’s been great to of had such a positive response. As mentioned in our previous posts, only 25 of the 50 skulls made it to the shop, whilst the others were held back for random “street art” style drops over the next couple of weeks… with the first batch of 8 descending upon London this afternoon! Dropped at various cultural hotspots around Covent Garden and Carnaby Street, all bar 2 (that found homes at both Kidrobot LDN and Playlounge!) were revealed through both our Instagram and Twitter feeds at various points in the day. Below are the 6 that got placed, can you guess where they are? (hints on @trutek Instagram!)

We still have another 17 skulls left to drop, so be sure to stay tuned for the whereabouts of our next location! Don’t fancy your chances? Then head over to the MAN-E-TOYS store, where we still have a couple left in stock for just $14 shipped!! We also have a super-limited run in the works (brains and colour changing resin anyone?!), so expect more news soon…
