Joining the recently posted Magma Night Gamer and Pink/Blue Skulloctopus customs, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly shares details of yet another piece to grace the Dragatomi SDCC booth next week, the “Blue Moon” Warui Inu sofubi! Limited to just 1 unique piece this time around, Conge has tackled Kaiju Coup’s super-creepy hound with flair, replacing the original eyes with glass inserts and fitting a motion activated LED unit inside. Coming complete with chained cinderblock, Blue Moon will be available from the Dragatomi booth (#5350) starting Thursday, 18th July, for $375 signed…

Hot off the heals of the “MAGMA” Night Gamer we featured yesterday, Bob Conge aka Plaseebo kindly introduces us to another pair of customs that will be making an appearance at Dragatomi‘s SDCC booth next week… the Pink and Blue Skulloctopus’ From Outer Space! Cast in crystal clear vinyl with c-thru sprays from Plaseebo, the duo have been fitted with clear glass eyes, featuring heads filled with cosmic debris floating in space slime and the obligatory internal motion activated colour-changing LED unit. Signed and dated by the artist, the Skulloctopus’ will be available from the Dragatomi booth (#5350) starting Thursday, 18th July, for just $150 a piece…

Bob Conge aka Plaseebo has teamed up with Dragatomi for a number of SDCC exclusive custom releases, the first of which coming in the form of this gorgeous “MAGMA” Night Gamer sofubi… Cast in a dark black soft vinyl with firey orange and yellow sprays, the one-off piece has been fitted with the artist’s signature clear glass eyes and internal motion-activated LED units. Available from the Dragatomi booth (#5350) starting Thursday, 18th July, pricing on the little guy is still to be confirmed…

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys at Wonder Festival Summer 2012…

Following an excellent turnout of custom sofubis and painted runs at SDCC last week (a few of which are still available on the Dragatomi store here), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys is putting the finishing touches to his latest batch of toys for this Sunday’s Wonder Festival Summer 2012. Joining an orange painted run of Cyclops Dinos and Manotaurs, Jon has teamed up with Grumble Toys for his very first run of both Wormrah and Lilth customs… Tackled with the usual Rampage flare, Wormrah comes cast in a light blue vinyl with metallic purple and silver sprays, whilst Lilth has been given the familiar rainbow sprays last seen in Jon’s SDCC UU release. Whilst it’s been great posting the various SDCC exclusives recently, we’ve yearned to feature some pieces that the other 99.9% of us not attending the event can buy… well that’s where Jon over at Rampage Toys very kindly steps in! Touted as the ‘Can’t go to SDCC – here’s some cool stuff you CAN get!’ sale, Jon will be dropping a variety of blank and painted pieces that will also be featuring at Dragatomi’s booth (#4935). Set to land in the Rampage store today (Thursday, July 12th) at 8pm EST, we’ve included a full rundown of what will be on offer below…

MAN-E-NEWS// Jay222 x Max Toy Co’s Lady Vengeance test shots…

Max Toy Company are proud to present the first test shots of their latest collaboration with Jay222, the super-creepy Lady Vengeance! Due to be making an appearance alongside a very special one-off “Lady Dinosaur” custom at SDCC this week (if the shipment arrives in time!), the mini sofubi has been designed and sculpted by Jay222, coming cast in an initial batch of soft green vinyl. Failing an official debut, Max Toys have stated that the pictured test pull will be on show during Jay222’s signing between 5-6pm at the Dragatomi booth (#4935). Stay tuned for information on Lady Vengeance’s general release soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// The Rampage Toys SDCC line-up…

Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has been very busy prepping a whole host of exclusives for the Dragatomi SDCC booth (#4935), so we’ve decided to give you a quick run down of the awesome custom sofubi you can expect later this week…

SDCC Cyclops Dinos// Hot off the heals of the recent blank pre-order (which is currently being packed up ready to send out), Jon has been working on the very first painted run of Cyclops Dino sofubis! Coming cast in a neon green vinyl, T-Clops, Bronto-Clops and Anklyo-Clops have been given a mixture of metallic purple, pink and gold sprays, finished with acrylic gouache detailing.

SDCC “Ice” Manotaur// The first “normal” painted run of the 8″ “Imps and Monsters” beast, Ice Manotaur has been cast in a white vinyl, featuring super-tight blue, teal, yellow, white and grey sprays.

SDCC “Rainbow Hair” Ugly Unicorns// Originally due to feature a couple of months back, Jon has since received a huge batch of GID UU’s for the latest “Rainbow Hair” editions. Featuring neon purple body highlights and a metallic rainbow mane of hair, the little guys come complete with hand painted eyes.

SDCC Zou-Chan and Kuma-Chan// Last but by no means least, Jon has once again teamed up with Kikkake for a very special Zou-Chan and Kuma-Chan release! Cast in neon green soft vinyl, the gorgeous looking sofubi has been sprayed in a mixture of neon colours, finished in a mixture of acrylic gouache shades. Jon has stated that a few of these guys will also be heading online over the weekend (including a couple of blanks!), so be sure to stay for more info soon…
