Kto Kto‘s latest round of finger puppet-style sofubi gets an all-new overseas release this week

  • Size: 2.5″-3.5″ each
  • Edition size: TBC
  • Price: $65 (Monster Series Ver.5), $83 (Death Emperor set)
  • Monster Series Ver.5 features 3 figures, each coming cast in what appears to be a white sofubi with various sprays and hand painted detailing
  • Monster Series comes packed with an all-new sew-on patch
  • The throned Hades (Death Emperor) comes paired with a witch, both coming cast in a blue sofubi with layers of sprays and hand painted detailing
  • Available via email lottery, interested parties are going to need to send over the name of the product (DIETH EMPEROR -HADES & WITCH or Monster Series Ver.5) along with their own name, Instagram name, country, shipping address, phone number and PayPal address to before close on April 22nd

New Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 sofubi from Algangu…

Lenny Cervello over at Algangu is proud to reveal that their Dissolution of Smoke: Vol. 2 will be seeing it’s long-awaited second painted release very soon! Featuring a total of 3 designs inspired by traditional yokai and 1970’s candy shop playing cards, the figures – a gourd holding monk, a castle and a cycloptic hat – stand a little shorter than the first release at around 2.5″-3″ each, coming complete with a finger puppet-style open base design. Produced in a gorgeous purple vinyl this time around, each mini comes packed with a variety of metallic blue, purple and pink sprays with hand brushed detailing. Whilst release info is still thin on the ground at present, we’re guessing these will be available at Superfestival next weekend (3/13), with an online release soon after… Keep track of Algangu’s Instagram feed here for the full lowdown!

DeathCat Toys x Kuchiyubin x Teddy Francois’ “Japan-Only” Elder Demons: Series 1 sofubi revealed…


Johan Ulrich over at Death Cat Toys is proud to reveal that his Elder Demons: Series 1 sofubi is set to return for a Japan-only painted run soon! Whilst little is known about the release at present, it would appear the white-cast minis with blue/red sprays, brown rubs and bloody splatters will be sold collaboratively through sticker producer Kuchiyubin and vocalist Teddy Francois, coming complete with a number of soon-to-be-revealed extras from the pair… Keep track of all 3 artists Instagram feeds for more details soon!

Having had continued success with his ingenious Neclos-MOTU mashup, the “M.O.T.U.L.O.S” playset, Nerdone are proud to reveal that an all-new mini “Jr” version will be making an appearance early next year! Featuring the same infusion of Neclos Fortress’ “Neclos” and MOTU’s Castle Greyskull, the figure has been reduced to finger puppet-scale, set to come with the same open bottom base made popular by the likes of DeathCat’s Elder Demons and KtoKto’s Monster Series. Pictured here as a finished wax prototype, we’re told to expect the first release some time in February/March 2016…

The Elder Demon Series 1 sofubi is set to return today for a special Halloween release! Designed by DeathCat Toys’ Johan Ulrich and sculpted by KtoKto, the 2.5″ tall Bikkuriman/Ma-Ba-style split torso minis – Oni Mira and the Red Pharoah – have been produced in an unpainted flesh tone soft vinyl this time around, coming bagged with a holographic sticker for just $35 plus shipping. Limited to just 10 sets this time around, the Elder Demons will be touching down in the DeathCat Toys store at 10pm Eastern time tonight (10/31)…
