Joining the standard release featured yesterday, Geek! have teamed up with Toy Art Gallery for yet another colourway of the awesome Jyujin sofubi! Teased here last week, the HINOMOTO RED Edition has been produced by Medicom Toy, marking TAG’s first official collaboration with the esteemed Japanese producer. Towering at a monstrous 12″ tall, the “Gorilla Man” has been sprayed in a mixture of red hues, taking inspiration from the traditional colours used in Japanese lacquerware. Priced at $165 plus shipping, Jyujin will be landing in the TAG store this Friday, September 27th at 12pm PST…

One of our favourite sofubi figures this year sees it’s first worldwide release, as Medicom Toy come with the latest version of Geek’s Jyujin (Basara)! Standing at a lofty 30cm of Japanese soft vinyl, the beast sports 5 points of articulation, this time replete with a mix of tan, black and red sprays. Up for grabs via lottery alongside Geek’s other new figure, Yaghan, entry details can be found on the Medicom Toy store right here. Priced at 15,750yen (approx. $160), interested parties are going to need to get their entries in by October 10th at 11.59pm Japan time…


MAN-E-NEWS// Geek’s Toy Art Galley exclusive Beastman revealed…

TAG owner Gino Joukar has just posted the latest figure to receive an exclusive run courtesy of the LA based gallery, Geek’s Beastman! Originally debuting at the Max Toy Wondefestival booth back in July, the towering beast (referred to as “Jyujin Hinomoto” in the posting) appears to have been cast in a similar black/grey soft vinyl, this time around coming with deep red and orange sprays. Due to be making an appearance in the Toy Art Gallery store at some point next week, Gino has stated that we can expect to pay around $160 plus shipping. Stay tuned for the official press soon…
