MAN-E-NEWS// The Attackers of the Missing Stuff “Toht” S.U.C.K.L.E mini from The Sucklord x DKE Toys…

19145967929_4142ecacf0_k

DKE Toys are proud to reveal that they’ve teamed up with The Sucklord for a special SDCC exclusive resin S.U.C.K.L.E release! DKE’s Sarah Jo Marks kindly gives us some background info about the project… “One of the Sucklord’s early figures is what we commonly refer to as the Pink Toht figure from Raiders. It was inspired by a Marvel Raiders comic where Toht was colored Pink. The purpose of the S.U.C.K.L.E. line is to recreate all of the Sucklord’s work in the M.U.S.C.L.E. format. The problem is that if we made this figure in China in the regular colors and all the exclusives then it’s just a colored Toht figure. It really only works if it’s pink. So this release had to be in resin only…” Originally sculpted by George Gaspar and hand cast in a semi-translucent pink resin courtesy of The Sucklord, the limited edition of 100 figures come mounted on an authentic mini blister complete with an additional flesh cast for just $30. Check it out alongside a whole host of other exclusives at the DKE booth (#5045) starting Preview Night this Wednesday, July 8th...

MAN-E-NEWS// The Tenacious Toys exclusive “Despair” keshi from Adam Quesnell…

tenacious despair

“Despair is a demon from the 10th Circle of Hell; the level where people who make bad cinematic adaptations of classic toy properties are flayed for eternity. Not your average demon, Despair suffers from severe anxiety disorder and crippling depression. Satan himself even banished Despair from Hell for being a major bummer…

Cast out upon the earth in a fiery geyser of lava and tears, Despair landed in the parking lot of a comedy club that was hosting a weekly open mic night.  Despair put his name on the sign-up sheet, got on stage, and told his story. Since then, he has been punishing himself, night after night, on comedy stages of varying quality throughout the Midwest. He dances and lashes himself for audiences with hopes of selling t-shirts and CDs to drunk people who will not wear or listen to them.”

Hot on the heals of last week’s Valentines release, the debut figure from comedian and avid toy collector Adam Quesnell – DESPAIR – is set to return for an exclusive run through Tenacious Toys! Originally created to celebrate the release of his album “Can We Afford This Much Despair?” on Stand Up! Records, Adam teamed up with illustrator Terence Brown II, October Toys, and our very own Tru:Tek of the Disart Toylabs to bring this sad little guy to life. Standing at around 3″ of 100% UV resistant rubber, the super squishy figure was designed by Terrance and sculpted by the OT team, coming cast in Tenacious Toys’ signature medium blue by Tru:Tek. Touching down in the Tenacious store on March 8th at 12pm Eastern time as part of Super Series Sunday, the figure has been limited to just 10 this time around, each coming packed with a download code for Adam’s album for just $30 a piece plus shipping…
