MAN-E-NEWS// The E-ball-A resin figure from Kalaka Toys x Monster Island x Grizzli Atom…

Paul Bass over at Monster Island is proud to reveal that he’s teamed up with Kalaka Toys and Grizzli Atom for the release of his latest resin figure, E-ball-A! Designed by Kalaka’s Matias, sculpted by Grizzli and produced by Paul, the awesome Madballs inspired piece stands at around 7″ tall, coming complete with articulation in both the arms and head. Due for it’s first fully painted release soon, expect the full lowdown on the figure as soon as we hear anything… But that’s not all! On top of E-ball-A, Monster Island have confirmed that they have recently taken over control of production and distribution of Kalaka products, so as well as securing new projects such as the upcoming collaborative Shit Ballz – more on those soon – they will also be revisiting past releases for those that missed out the first time! MAN-E-NEWS// Snatchpunch’s Medicom exclusive “Bostyrant” sofubi revealed….

Having seen sell-out releases at both NYCC and Designer Con over the past month, Joe Truck Kasher over at Snatchpunch Creature Cartel is proud to reveal that his debut sofubi, the queen of gross known as Bostyrant, will be seeing an exclusive run through Medicom Toy soon! Designed by Joe, sculpted by Grizlli Atom aka GNOSIS and produced by Velocitron, the mid size, 4-part soft vinyl figure comes brimming with gruesome details, including multiple oozing eyes, gaping, stitched flesh and four putrid, witch-like udders- all sprayed up in a stunning multi-metallic paint app conceived by Nebulon5. Set for release at some point in early 2015, we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for more info on the release soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// The GNOSIS NYCC leftover sale…

Grizlli Atom aka GNOSIS has just revealed that he’ll be unleashing a whole slew of NYCC leftovers in his store at some point today (10/19)! Featuring a mix of both original resins and custom sofubi, highlights include the debut of the two-headed Back-Biter for just $40, the Monster Island produced “Blood Splatter” Ooze Corpse for $50 and the Thunder Dog w/Khonsu sets for $55. MAN-E-NEWS// DeathCat Toys’ Alien Gahm mini figure proto revealed…

Joining both Meowlty Cat and the GID Nekos in My Pocket playset (here), Johan Ulrich over at DeathCat Toys has just unveiled yet another all-new figure he’ll be bringing along to Monster Island x GNOSIS NYCC booth (#402 The Block) next month, the happy drunk, Alien Gahm! Inspired by classic goofy kaiju monsters, the keshi-styled mini figure has been designed by Johan and sculpted by GNOSIS’ Grizlli Atom, with resin production duties presumably in the hands of Monster Island. Nestled amongst a slew of vinyl and resin projects planned for the coming months, Grizlli Atom aka Gnosis has just revealed yet another must-have series in the works, the Space Babies! An ingenious hybrid of Kewpies and the iconic vintage Ooze-It doll, the mini 2″ tall figures have been teased with 3 different head sculpts so far- a standard Cosmos Alien, as well as designs based on both original and Japanese bootleg Stretch Monster dolls. Stay tuned for more news on this awesome set of figures as soon as we hear anything…


MAN-E-NEWS// Custom bootleg Madball figures from Gnosis x Monster Island…

Grizlli Atom aka Gnosis and Monster Island have teamed up for a round of custom bootleg Madball figures! Kit-bashed by Grizli, the fully articulated, 5″ tall figures feature the body of the vintage “Wolf Breath” Head Popper alongside Giraprendi’s recent “Fang Thang” water squirter, coming with a ton of additional sculpted detail including a new ruffled neck and fixed axe accessory. Currently undergoing production courtesy of Monster Island, we’re told the first batch will be touching down in his store as early as tomorrow- so be sure to check back for the full scoop on the possible Friday 13th release as soon as we get it!

UPDATE// Whilst we still can’t confirm any solid release details for tonight’s bootleg Madball release in the Monster Island store, we have been treated to one of the many unique paint apps that will be up for grabs! Treated to a mix of neon and brown Mad Ape Ninja sprays, detail hugging black washes and a hi gloss clear coat, expect the little guy alongside a whole host of other new creations in the MI store right here later on today (6/13)…


MAN-E-NEWS// Grizlli Atom’s “The Ancient Ones” WIP revealed…

Reaching even further back in time for his latest round of sofubi under the Gnosis monicker, Grizlli Atom has just unveiled a WIP look at the follow-up to the Old Ones… the Ancient Ones! Featuring a total of 3 new designs, the paperclay-style sculpts have been inspired by a unique mix of ancient Aztec culture, Miura’s vintage pachi Dinosaur kaiju, and early Jack Kirby creations Zzutak and Inhuman, Sporr. Hopefully making their way into production soon, anyone interested in giving their thoughts on the project in the meantime can do so by heading over the the Grizlli Atom IG right here
