Mondo’s 2016 Madballs: Series 1…

Originally unveiled in prototype form at SDCC ’15, the first round of Mondo‘s officially licensed Madball re-imaginings are now finally up for grabs! Featuring 3 of James Groman’s original characters from 1986 – Slobulus, Horn Head and Skull Face – each have been brought bang up to date by the guys at Ramirez Studios, coming in at a slightly bigger 4″ wide and produced in a super-detailed soft vinyl. Currently up for grabs via preorder through the Mondo store right here, the trio are being offered up singularly for $20 and just $55 for the set. Shipping is expected in the 3rd quarter of 2016…


The Guumon x Snatchpunch “Tit-Tot” micro-run announced…

Briefly mentioned in our coverage of D-Lux’s recent release right here, the Guumon x Snatchpunch “Tit-Tot” micro-run will finally be up for grabs online soon! Whilst we still have very little info to go on at present, it would appear from the above images that the release will feature at least 3 one-offs and a “Titanium” run from Guumon utilising the new Joe Truck-designed figure. Likely to set you back upwards of $180 each – the set price of D-Lux’s release – interested parties can expect to see the Guumon Tit-Tots in the Snatch Punch store over the next few days…

Snatchpunch‘s Joe Trucker is proud to reveal that his debut figure, the queen of gross known simply as “Bostyrant”, has returned for a micro-run in gorgeous unpainted GID vinyl! Designed by Joe, sculpted by Grizlli Atom aka GNOSIS and produced by Velocitron, the mid size, 4-part soft vinyl figure comes brimming with gruesome details, including multiple oozing eyes, gaping, stitched flesh and four putrid, witch-like udders. Currently available in the Snatchpunch store right here, the GID Bostyrant will set you back just $70 plus shipping…


MAN-E-NEWS// Zhang Sheng’s “Mimi Monster” sofubi revealed…

Toy collector-come-designer Zhang Sheng has just unveiled his debut sofubi, the awesome Mimi Monster! Whilst little information has been given about the figure at present, it would appear that the slimy cyclops features a simple 2-part design that would suggest sizing to be around 3″-6″. Pictured above in a variety of unpainted test-shot colors, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that this means a release for the little guy very soon…

Whilst we rather impatiently wait for the release of Chris Grondin‘s latest collaboration with Scumbags & Superstars – the “Melting Man” Slimeball – the king of gross-out foam balls is proud to reveal another figure that’ll more than fill the gap for the time being… the incredible Belial Ball! Inspired by cult horror flick Basket Case’s rather unfortunate siamese twin, the beautifully realised piece has been hand sculpted by Chris in-scale with the original Madballs at around 3″ wide, coming cast in an authentic squishy foam and treated to layers of subtle earthy sprays. Limited to an edition of just 10 pieces, we suggest keeping an eye on Chris’ Instagram feed right here for release details soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// Bukimi Blasters’ Psycho Monster, The Mole Man “Phase 1” sofubi…

After months of teasers on Instagram, Shigeo Endo over at Bukimi Blasters is proud to reveal that his third sofubi, Psycho Monster “The Mole Man” will finally be up for grabs in it’s “Phase 1″ colorway next week! Designed and hand sculpted by Shigeo, the hideous creation appears to be much taller than past releases at around 8” (TBC), coming complete with 5 points of articulation and an as-yet-unrevealed omake accessory for the “reeding of the Mole Man”. Produced in an unpainted glow-in-the-dark soft vinyl for this first release, the Mole Man will be touching down in the Bukimi Blasters store via limited preorder starting Friday, September 4th at 9pm Eastern time, coming in at 12,000yen ($98) plus shipping… Here’s keeping our fingers crossed for the first fully-painted release soon!

Extensively featured right here on Man-E-Toys since it’s announcement back in June, we can now reveal that the “Two Face Todd” sofubi from Bad Attic Toys is finally up for grabs! The first to feature in the ongoing Madball-inspired “Trouballz” line, the gruesome figure comes in at an authentically scaled 3″ wide, featuring a two faced, gross-out design complete with a rather clever cranium cap joint. Produced in a thick light purple soft vinyl that mimics the knock-off rubber Madballs of the late 1980’s, the first edition has been treated to a stunning array of bootleg-style purple, yellow, orange and green sprays. Coming packed with a matt-finish vintage style trading card in a deluxe showcase-style box, Todd is currently available via e-mail order for just $100 plus shipping. Anyone interested in picking the figure up is going to need to fire over their full name and address to info@badattic.com. Supplies are extremely limited, so be sure to get in there quick!
