MAN-E-NEWS// A trio of releases from Killer Bootlegs…

Hot off the heels of last month’s ingenious “Man Inside the Mask” bootleg (find out more here), Peter Goral over at Killer Bootlegs is proud to present a trifecta of must-have resins that will be hitting the KB store this month! Here’s a quick rundown of the swag that’ll be on offer…

Vintage Art-Too feat. Hoakser// Working alongside long-time Man-E-Toys friend Hoakser, Killer Bootlegs will be releasing a new “Vintage” edition of the highly sought after “Art-Too” custom bootleg. Featuring a bootlegged vintage R2D2 with mounted spray cap, the figure has painted in the standard Krylon red and white, coming complete with a faux “Killer” Krylon sticker designed by Crush Entity. Topped off with header and character sticker art from the more than capable hands of Hoaker, “Vintage” Art-Too will be hitting the Killer Bootlegs store at some point next week… Oh, and be sure to look out for the 10 “shake and rattle” chase figures too!

Frankenfett// Due to launch the following week is the much talked about “Frankenfett”… Created using the same mould as the recent Jeremy Bulloch (Man Inside the Mask) bootleg, the decapitated figure has been cast in black, coming with GID hands and head from a vintage Remco “Universal Monsters” Frankenstein from the 80’s. Unlike Art-Too, Frankenfett will instead be offered up for pre-order on the Killer Bootlegs store (demand has been off the charts!) and will only be available in strictly limited numbers. A “chase” variant will be also released at random, featuring a reverse of the general release bootleg (GID body, with a black head and hands). Packaging will be done up in usual KB style, with each figure coming poly-bagged with a kick ass custom header card…

Killer Kaiju// Last, but by no means least, “Killer Kaiju” is Peter’s take on Japanese kaiju… albiet in 3.75″ action figure form! Kit-bashed from a vintage MOTU Webstor figure, Barbie’s little sister Skipper doll, a Madame Alexander flying monkey from The Wizard of Oz, and arms from a Kenner “Jurasic Park” T-rex, “Killer Kaiju” has been airbrushed with Monster Kolor paint and will be available in two separate offerings… Initially available poly-bagged with a Japanese movie poster style header card, Killer Bootlegs will also be featuring the figure in a carded “Monster Mash” 2 pack, with another kaiju style figure designed, molded, and cast by Butch Adams of Butcherbrand out in California. The poly-bagged version will be made available in a variety of color options and will drop the 3rd week in October, whilst  the collaborative carded version is still in the final stages of development and will be released very soon… Stay tuned for a full reveal over the coming weeks!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Nine2Five Dominant Species custom from Hoakser…

“He’s fresh out of work, and can’t wait to catch a few tags on his way home…”

Continuing his recent onslaught of Dominant Species customs (check them all out here), UK graffiti artist Hoakser is proud to present the latest recruit to join the fray, the gruesome Nine2Five! Kit-bashed, burnt, sculpted and weathered with Hoakser’s usual flair, the white colar worker-gone-postal stands at a lofty 14.5cm tall, coming complete with 4-points of articulation, the trademark fatcap head, and mounted feeder… Priced at just £29.99 plus postage, Nine2Five is available through Hoakser’s store now.

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Uber-Ill” Thundercat custom from Hoakser…

Joining the recently featured Veteran (find out more here), UK graffiti artist Hoakser kindly shares with us his latest “Dominant Species” custom, the rather awesome Uber-Ill. Kit-bashed from one of Thundercats’ slightly more obscure characters, Cuber Bill the Robear Berbil (see what he did with the name?!!), the stunning figure comes with Hoakser’s usual high quality sculpting, modifying and faithful distressed paint job. Fitted with a fatcap head and flow pipe, Uber-Ill even has his own agitator… making him rattle like a spray can when you shake him! Due to touch down in the Hoakser store at 8pm London time tonight (Tuesday, July 31st), Uber-Ill will come priced at just £34.99 plus shipping…

MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Worryknot from Hoakser x The Projects…

“A collaboration sometimes feels like a car with two steering wheels. [Worryknot] represents the anxiety of artistic collaboration…”

UK graffiti artist Hoakser has teamed up with urban art/clothing company The Projects for the release of the very first Worryknot custom! Originally created by Stu Witter and Jon Burgerman back in 2007, the resin cast desktop sculpture was released last month in a limited edition of 10 DIY, with The Projects managing to secure 2 (details on the second to follow soon!)… Painted in Hoakser’s signature beaten up and weathered style, the stunning piece has been adorned with various throw-ups and tags featuring the names of the piece’s creators, and of course Hoakser himself. Due to go on sale tomorrow (Thursday, July 26th) at 8pm on The Projects store, Hoakser’s Worryknot will be coming in at around £200 shipped. Stay tuned for more Hoakser x The Projects collabs soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Dominant Species “Veteran” custom from Hoakser…

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Hoakser with regards to the Dominant Species line, so it came with great pleasure this morning to find the latest member nestled in our inbox! Entitled “The Veteran”, the stunning figure has been kit-bashed, re-sculpted, burnt, painted, weathered and wired to form one of our favourite entries into the series yet. Unlike previous releases, “The Veteran” was originally an over-sized Gears of War figure, meaning this guy packs a whopping 11 points of articulation, shotgun/pouch accessories, plus a well-balanced, quality build. Due to land on his store soon for just £49 plus shipping, Hoakser has stated that the remaining unsold Dominant Species will also be available for a reduced price of £30-£40…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Sloblife 2” custom Trikky from Hoakser…

Following the instant sell-out success of the original Sloblife custom (find out more here), Hoakser kindly shares with us the latest instalment, Version 2… Refining pretty much every aspect of the original design, the stunning 14.5cm tall piece comes complete with sculpted man boobs, back fat and bum crack, a newly revised “clean” paint job, a staggering 9 print/channel inserts, plus a fully articulated T.V/head! Priced at a very reasonable £65 plus shipping, Sloblife 2 will be landing in the Hoakser store here at some point today. Be sure to keep checking back regularly… the original disappeared in a matter of minutes!

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Eyesore” custom Trikky from Hoakser…

Continuing his onslaught of recent customs, UK based graffiti artist Hoakser is proud to present his latest Trikky creation, Eyesore! Marrying the various styles that Hoakser has developed over the last year, Eyesore cherry-picks the best aspects of the artist’s sculpted work, mixing them with the weathered aesthetic of the highly popular “Vandalised Vinyl” series. Painted using textured acrylics, the metallic creature even comes complete with his own mini Hoakser canvas and easel! Priced at just £48 plus shipping, Eyesore can be found alongside his similarly eye-weeping brother Gammy in the Hoakser store now…
