IMG_9939

As promised in our coverage of Tru:Tek’s Sunobite a couple of days back, we can now bring you details of the fourth and final figure to feature in Unbox Industries‘ upcoming “Strange Monsters” mini figure series… the Necrolossus from Ironhaus Productions! Standing at an oversized 2.5″ tall, the Jimmy Rommel-sculpted beast encapsulates the Ironhaus aesthetic to a tee, featuring a wonderfully dynamic pose surmounted by a swathe of pulsing muscle and sharp teeth. To be produced alongside the previously revealed Tug-O-War, Shogu-Nasty and Sunobite, the Necrolossus is due to come in a unique, keshi-like slosh cast soft vinyl, a medium we’re sure you guys are just as interested in checking out as us! With a debut release slated for as early as the end of December, you can be sure that as soon as a release for these has been confirmed, you guys will be the first in the know…

The Necrolossus backstory-

“Man’s reliance on nuclear power, ultimately, was the very dependency that would destroy everything. Humanity was notorious for it’s avarice. Every enterprise known to man employed penny-shaving tactics in business, and construction was certainly no stranger to that principle. When a construction company won a bid for a Pacific shoreline reactor, the cost-cutting practices went in effect immediately, affecting everything from materials to staffing. The job was finished before deadline and far under budget, resulting in promotions for those in charge of the project, and a hefty profit for those financially invested in it. Things were good… For a while… The cheap materials and rushed craftsmanship didn’t hold up for long, as five years later, the reactor was put to the test during a meltdown… And the reactor failed, miserably. What came next was expected, and unstoppable…

Death. On a grand scale. Radiation touched everything within a 50 mile radius, polluted the waters, and poisoned the air. The irradiated and necrotic flesh of not only the humans that died in the area, but every living thing in the area, gained a hive-like sentience and began to reconstitute itself. The aggregate monster took pieces of destroyed buildings, automobiles, trains, and whatever else it needed to create a corporeal form. The moment it learned to stand, the colossus made out of radioactive death emptied it’s lungs and nuclear effluvia filled the skies. Cable news media named it “The Necrolossus”, and he stomped towards civilization looking to feast…”

DSCN1170

It’s been a while since featured anything from Jimmy Rommel over at Ironhaus Productions, so it came with great pleasure today to find that the mini figure maestro has been readying an all-new creation for release this week… the “Three Head” Deadface micro! Seeing numerous incarnations since his first appearance in Universe of Violence – including our favourite, the dapper Deadface Worthington III – the skull faced voodoo warrior has been reduced to a tiny 1.25″ for this latest rendition, coming complete with 2 haunting heads resting on his shoulders- presumably the trapped souls of his many victims! Due to come cast by Jimmy in a variety of different colored rubber, the little guy will be touching down in the Ironhaus store later this week for around $10 a piece (TBC). Keep track of the dedicated blog here for the full lowdown on the release over the next couple of days…

nama

With the awesome Meatgrinder keshi grabbing all of the attention over the past month or so, we thought the previously teased Deathmatch would never see the light of day… well fear not Namakeshi fans, as the incredible figure will be touching down soon! A follow-up to the wrestling ring-headed Top Rope, the latest member of the NNWA has been co-designed/sculpted by Nama Niku and Ironhaus, with production duties handed over to the more than capable hands of Eric Nilla. Circumventing the issues with Top Rope’s cotton threads, this latest addition is set to feature an easily removable ring of rubber ropes AND a steel cage- perfect for those micro death match battles! News on an exact release date is still to be confirmed, but what with the figure already successfully cast, we’re guessing it won’t be long until the first batch hits the Nilla store… Keep an eye on Nama Niku’s IG feed here for more info soon!
