Screen Shot 2012-12-21 at 12.08.38

Jon over at Rampage Toys proudly reveals work-in-progress shots of his latest original toy, the Micro Ugly Unicorn! Standing at a tiny 1″ tall, the fully articulated beast is set to feature Glyos compatible joints that can be interchanged with all Glyos universe figures. Due to come hand cast in resin by Jon, expect blank and painted runs to hit the Rampage Toys store soon… Stay locked on the Rampage blog here for any further developments.

MAN-E-NEWS// The Shubler mash-up custom from Rampage Toys…

Jon over at Rampage Toys kindly shares with us his latest custom commission, the breathtaking Shubler mash-up! Combining 2 of our most highly desired sofubis, the recent Shub Zeroth and Splurrt’s Diggler, the beautiful piece has been hand finished in Jon’s signature mix of vivid gouache brush work and meticulous black rubs… leaving us all shades of green! Unfortunately due to the extremely limited nature of both Shub and Diggler, it’s unlikely that we’ll see anything like the Shubler again, but if you do happen to be lucky enough to come across the pair (or any other sofubi for that matter!) and are looking for the Rampage treatment, be sure to hit Jon up through the blog here with any enquiries…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Ugly Pump-corn UU’s from Rampage Toys…

Wasting no time since his arrival back in Japan last week, Jon over at Rampage Toys has been saving something fun for the Halloween celebrations… a batch of orange vinyl Ugly Unicorns that he’s calling the “Ugly Pump-corns”! Available in either raw unpainted form, or with the beautiful sprays and cut-out Jack’O Lantern style eyes and mouth, the Ugly Pump-corns have been limited to just 10 pieces (Jon has stated he will paint the amount requested). Priced at a very reasonable $30 and $40 respectively, the Ugly Pump-corns will be heading to the Rampage Toys store on Tuesday, October 30th at 9pm EST…

MAN-E-NEWS// NYCC exclusive Diagomis from Rampage Toys x Guumon…

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Jon over at Rampage Toys, so it came with great relief yesterday to find that he’s been working on a whole slew of new customs for NYCC next month… first up, the insane Rampage x Guumon Diagomis! What has got to be THE best painted run of Guumon’s awesome neo-kaiju figure we’ve seen to date, Jon has gone for a mix of contrasting lime green and firey orange sprays, with a meticulous dark green rub… Apparently these have also been cast in a glow-in-the-dark vinyl, so we wait with baited breath to see how that rub performs in the dark! Due to go on sale exclusively at the Tenacious Toys booth (#3121), the Rampage Diagomis will be joined by a massive selection of Max Toy Co, Splurrt and of course, Rampage customs, many of which we will be revealing over the weekend…

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ Wonder Festival leftovers…

After a very fun (but hot!) Wonder Festival yesterday, Jon over at Rampage Toys has revealed that a selection of unsold figures will now be offered up to his dedicated international fans! Whilst the stunning painted orange Cyclops Dinos unfortunately sold out, Jon has stated that both Grumble Toy collaborations, Lilth and Wormrah, are available for $50 and $35 respectively, whilst a previously unrevealed vintage kaiju inspired Ugly Unicorn run from Ilanena will also be up for grabs for just $45 a piece. At the moment these guys are only available to Rampage newsletter subscribers (head over here to get signed up!), but you can be sure any remaining stock will be heading to the Rampage store soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys at Wonder Festival Summer 2012…

Following an excellent turnout of custom sofubis and painted runs at SDCC last week (a few of which are still available on the Dragatomi store here), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys is putting the finishing touches to his latest batch of toys for this Sunday’s Wonder Festival Summer 2012. Joining an orange painted run of Cyclops Dinos and Manotaurs, Jon has teamed up with Grumble Toys for his very first run of both Wormrah and Lilth customs… Tackled with the usual Rampage flare, Wormrah comes cast in a light blue vinyl with metallic purple and silver sprays, whilst Lilth has been given the familiar rainbow sprays last seen in Jon’s SDCC UU release. As always, any leftovers will be offered up to Rampage Toys’s newsletter subscribers next week… head over to the Rampage blog to get signed up now if you haven’t already!
