Eric Smith over at Full Blown Ink is proud to reveal that his debut production toy “Vulkira” will be making it’s way to crowd-funding site Kickstarter very soon! Born out of a love of giant Japanese robots, the stunning, fully articulated figure borrows elements from the likes of the Shogun Warriors and Jumbo Machinders, albeit compacted down to a more collector-friendly 8″ scale (although we’ve been told a 24″ vintage jumbo version may make an appearance in the future!). Due to be produced in soft vinyl courtesy of Unbox Industries, Vulkira will be up for grabs via a number of different pledge tiers, ranging from just $60 for the basic figure, right up to $200 for original Vulkira art from Darryl Banks of Green Lantern fame. Currently looking for feedback on the project before it goes live in just a couple of weeks time, interested parties can hit Eric up through the Vulkira Kickstarter preview page right here…

Priced at just $300 a piece (a steal considering the prices the originals go for!), anyone interested should hit up Skinner through his Twitter feed here with any enquiries…

Following the success of their Star Wars Stormtrooper Super Shogun early last year, premier US kaiju house Super7 have recently teased the latest addition to their stellar series, the intergalactic bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
Blending the towering Japanese robo aesthetic of Jumbo Machinder (known as Shogun Warriors in the west) with Kenner’s classic Star Wars action figures, the 24″ toys are the first official Super Shogun robots in over twenty five years.
Release information is still scarce, but if last year’s release is anything to go by, expect Fett to drop late February for around $300. Check Super7’s dedicated Star Wars store for more details…
