Rampage Toys’ “Two Toed Tom” Kaibutsuya sofubi revealed…

The long-awaited follow up to Rampage‘s Kesagake is finally revealed in-full

  • Size: 10″
  • Articulation: 4 points (neck, waist, arms)
  • Designed and sculpted by Rampage Toys’ Jon Malmstedt, Two Toed Tom is based on a real-life killer alligator of the same name that reportedly terrorised the swamps of the Alabama-Florida border
  • Comes packed with newly modified “victim” omake in shorts and a bikini
  • Cast in a flesh-tone sofubi and treated to lifelike layers of rubs, sprays and hand brushed detailing, this initial one-off Two Toed Todd will be going on sale at myplasticheart‘s upcoming Monstrosities group show

First teased here just a couple of weeks back, we can now reveal the latest figure from Rampage Toys‘ ongoing Kaibutsuya (Giant Monster Animal Shop) series – dubbed Kesagake’s Revenge – in full! Whilst the original Kesagake was based on the infamous Sankebetsu Brown Bear of Hokkaido Higuma – who was subsequently killed after the worst bear attack in Japanese history – it would appear from the “Revenge” monicker that this is actually the same bear, albeit with some neat “mecha” additions to fight off those pesky Higuma settlers once and for good! Debuting as a one-off test paint at Rampage Studios’ Halloween ’15 group show last Friday (pictured below courtesy of collector Pinosa), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the first official painted run at DCon ’15 in just a couple of weeks time…

Having had continued success with Kesagake over the past year, Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys is pleased to announce that the second figure in the ongoing “Kaibutsuya” (Giant Monster Animal Shop) series will be up for grabs soon! Whilst Kesagake was based on the infamous Sankebetsu Brown Bear of Hokkaido Higuma – who was subsequently killed after the worst bear attack in Japanese history – it would appear from the “revenge” stamp pictured that this is actually the same bear, albeit with some neat “mecha” additions to fight off those pesky Higuma settlers once and for good! Pictured here in pink test shot form, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the as-yet-untitled grizzly makes its debut at Designer Con ’15 next month…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Wonderfestival exclusive Kaibutsuya “Kesagake” sofubi from Rampage Toys…

Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys will be descending upon Wonderfestival Summer ’15 next weekend with a whole load of original sofubi, custom one-offs and painted runs, the latest to be revealed coming in the form of this gorgeous Kaibutsuya Kesagake!  Standing at a lofty 10.5″ tall and featuring 4 points of articulation, the menacing grizzly has been produced in a bright orange soft vinyl for the release, coming complete with a number of metallic teal, yellow and red sprays similar to Rampage’s recent “Dark Side Hunter-X” release. Up for grabs at the Paralyzing Toyz WF booth (5-28-02) on Sunday, July 26th (price TBC), an extremely limited supply are due to be held back for an online lottery release at some point in the near future. Jon Malmstedt of Rampage Toys will be descending upon Design Fiesta 41 this weekend with a whole load of original sofubi, custom one-offs and painted runs, the first to be revealed coming in the form of this gorgeous “Glow Verson” Kaibutsuya Kesagake sofubi!  Standing at a lofty 10.5″ tall and coming with 4 points of articulation, the menacing grizzly has been produced in a glow in the dark vinyl soft vinyl for the release, coming complete with a number of icy blue, metallic yellow and neon pink sprays. Up for grabs at the Rampage DF booth (C-356) starting Saturday, May 16th (price TBC), an extremely limited supply are due to be held back for an online lottery release at some point next week.
