DKE Toys have teamed up with none other than MuscleThings for their latest SDCC exclusive reveal, proudly presenting the Necro Klaw custom keshi! Featuring a digitally scanned rendition of the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E Claw figure, the sculpt has been subtly altered by MT, coming with additional detail on the face finger, a number of oozing wounds, as well as that all-seeing eye in the centre. Hand cast in the MuscleThings Laboratory using a flesh toned soft plastic, the Necro Klaw has been limited to an edition of 100, each packed in a resealable clamshell with backer art from MT. Look out for the figure at the DKE booth (#5045) for just $15 a piece once the con doors open on July 23rd…
Continuing the ‘Claw’ based coverage today, mini figure customiser Ersico comes with yet another interpretation of the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E figure! Recast by Eric Villanueva over at 1Shot Toys, the 1.5″ resin mini has been painted by Ersico in an Iron Man-inspired mix of red and gold with black detailing, coming complete with an “Arc Reactor” gem and clear coat finish. Joined by an equally cool Hulk-inspired piece (check it out here), the Iron Man Claw can be found in the Ersico store for just $17 plus shipping… Fingers crossed for some more Marvel-based Claw madness soon!
Revealed on Instagram earlier this week, we thought we’d give you guys the rundown on our latest collaboration with Nama-Niku, the mighty Deka Manzilla: Tijuana Nights! A love letter to wacky dollar store bootlegs and swap-meet pick ups, the hilarious figure is due to become the first Deka H.U.S.T.L.E release, a sub-series featuring a number of kit-bashes and re-sculpts based on the oversized 5″ tall kinkeshi platform. Set for an extremely limited soft-release in early September, the figure will be making it’s official debut at Superfestival and NYCC a few weeks after. Joining the debut of Blurble‘s latest resin figure Sparrow next week, it appears that SDCC will also play host to the next round of ever-popular “Goo and Roo” Fight Bros 2 packs! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted from the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E line, the pair of mini figures have been cast by none other than Luke over at Imperfecz Toyz using flexible keshi-style rubber, this time around in a marbled white/blue for this SDCC release. News on the when and the where are still to be confirmed, but we’re guessing you’ll be able to find these guys in limited quantities at the Lulubell x Velocitron booth for around $20 a set. Kit bashed using M.U.S.C.L.E’s iconic ‘baddie’ Terri Bull and the Piranha driver from M.A.S.K, Rax Sly, the figure has been cast in clear resin, coming airbrushed in a multitude of one-off C-Thru Monster Kolor sprays.
