PicoPico’s “Max Toy Phase 2” Keronga at One-Up…

Takepico’s Keronga sofubi returns this weekend in an all-new colorway from Max Toy Co‘s Mark Nagata! Sculpted by Pico Pico and produced by One-Up, the mini-sized frog monster stands at around 3.3″ tall, featuring one point of articulation in the neck. Produced in a vivid green/blue soft vinyl and adorned with tropical yellow, red and green sprays with hand brushed detailing, the “Max Toy Phase 2” Keronga comes bagged and headed for 4,200yen ($38) plus shipping. Interested parties are going to need to keep an eye out for the drop in the One-Up store this coming Saturday, May 21st…

Takepico x Max Toy’s Koijara painted run at One-Up…

Takepico have teamed up with Max Toy Co‘s Mark Nagata for the latest painted run of Koijara sofubi! Designed and sculpted by PicoPico, the 3.5″ tall, 2-part koi kaiju has been produced in what appears to be a blue soft vinyl this time around, coming complete with a rainbow of Monster Kolor sprays finished with a thick hi-gloss. Going on sale in the One-Up store this coming Saturday, April 23rd at 11am Japan time, Koijara will set you back just 4,200yen plus shipping…

Max Toy Co’s “Tiger Boss” sofubi revealed…

Mark Nagata has just unveiled the latest figure from esteemed sofubi producer Max Toy Co, the adorable Tiger Boss! Conceived by Nagata, designed by Javier Jimenez and sculpted by Max Toy newcomer Cristina Ravenna, the unlikely feline salary man stands at around 3.5″ tall, coming with one point of articulation in the neck. Debuting in the pictured yellow, pink and black sprays over white vinyl at Tokyo’s Dai Kaiju Salon bar this weekend, we’re told to expect Tiger Boss’ first online release within the next couple of weeks…


MAN-E-NEWS// Max Toy Co’s “Dino Brothers” Monster Boogie sofubi revealed…

Whilst we patiently wait for the arrival of James Groman and Toy Art Gallery’s “BC Blasters”, Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has just revealed that yet more dino/tank related madness will be dropping soon in the form of the “Dino Brothers” Monster Boogie sofubi! Taking on a much more eastern look than the aforementioned Blasters, these little guys (we’re assuming by the “Brothers” monicker that there’s more than one) feature a similar mounted dinosaur design inspired by Ultraseven’s Kyōryū Sensha, coming in-scale with previous MB figures at just under 3″ tall. Pictured here in vinyl test shot form, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a full reveal of the series over the next few weeks…

Max Toy Co‘s Mark Nagata is proud to reveal that he’ll be unleashing a hand painted run of “Mushroom Monster” Kaiju Kinora sofubi online this week! Originally created by artist Kaori Hinata as part of last year’s Kaiju Gals contest, the adorable little fungi has been sculpted by TTToy’s Makino-san at a Monster Boogie-compatible 3″ tall. Produced in a grey soft vinyl this time around, the figure has been treated to a detail hugging black rub, gold detailing and simple green, red and yellow sprays courtesy of Nagata. Touching down in the Max Toy store this coming Friday, September 4th, expect to pay around $30 plus shipping for the piece…
