Motorbot has just revealed that his latest resin figure, the adorable Lil Smoggy, is now up for grabs online! Directly inspired by Godzilla’s Hedorah, the mini smog monster has been hand sculpted and cast by the artist, standing at a mid-sized 4″ tall. Available with your choice of either a classically-styled paint job or in GID with a detail hugging black rub, both versions of the little guy can be found in the Meathead Toys store right here for just $30 a piece. Here’s hoping Motorbot these kaiju-tinged releases continue in the future!
Originally teased here as a near finished sculpt a couple of weeks back, Motorbot‘s “My Pet Madball” resin has just been released in the Meathead store! Based on an illustration the artist created a couple of years back, the cycloptic beastie has been inspired by classic 80’s plush “My Pet Monster”, perfectly realised in 3D as an Madball-scaled, 3″ wide ball. Cast in solid resin, the figure has treated to a simple, flat paint job for this first run- which whilst in-keeping with the vintage Madball paint apps, is sadly lacking in the vivid hues of the original toy, or the detailed washes of Motorbot’s usual output. A minor flaw really, and one that both the impeccable concept and sculpt more than make up for… Residing in the store right here, My Pet Madball comes complete with handcuff display base (not pictured) for just $45 plus shipping… Here’s hoping for a blank run of these soon!
Hot off the heals of the awesome 8-Ball custom we posted over the weekend, Motorbot indulges us with yet more resin goodness with the reveal of his latest resin figure… the primevil Skullatan! Standing at an impressive 5″ tall, the gruesome 2-skulled beast has been hand cast by the artist in a number of one-off hand finished colourways including the pictured Grape Ape, Watermelon, Banana Pudding, Gorgon and Bubblegum. Available right now on the Meathead store, Skullatan has been priced at just $30 plus shipping… Interested parties be warned, stocks of the first batch are disappearing quick!
