Tim Clarke x Clutter Magazine’s “Zombie Tribe” Mini Boglins teased…

Hot on the heals of King Mini Boglin’s reveal just a few weeks back, it appears the single figure has quickly morphed into a whole series as creator Tim Clarke and producers Clutter have just unveiled 2 more designs that’ll be featuring as part of a zombie-themed run soon! Whilst we just have these preliminary sculpts and sketches to go on at present, it would appear the little guys will be very much in-keeping with the original early 90’s mini figure line, with a total of 8 rough and ready sculpts planned for this undead “tribe”. Due for release in resin over the next month or so, be sure to stay locked for the full lowdown soon…

The guys over at Clutter Magazine have got their hands on a super-rare, un-produced prototype from Tim Clarke‘s iconic 90’s toy line the Mini Boglins… and it would appear that they’ll be giving it a much deserved release soon! Dubbed the “King Boglin”, this beautifully detailed fortune telling tike was originally sculpted by Maureen Trotto based on Tim’s design back in 1992, sadly not making it into the original series for reasons unknown at present. Likely to see production in either resin or vinyl before the year is out, we’ll be keeping you guys up to date with any developments as soon as we hear anything…

“Intelligent slugs are not new to Earth. They’re just small enough for us to not know about them. From the telekinetic deep sea nudibranch elders, to the hard-mantled terrestrial gastropod mollusc, their secrets are finally revealed – forcing them out into the open to live alongside, or battle mankind!!”

Our good friend Lee Burbridge over at Bigmantoys is proud to reveal that the second wave of “Day of the Slug” minis will be touching down later this week! Heavily inspired by Tim Clarke’s Mini Boglins, the 1″-1.5″ tall rubber figures have been designed and sculpted by Lee, with each mutated mollusc once again based on either a horror/fantasy theme or direct film parody. Releasing across 4 super-collectible waves of 4 figures a year – that’s a total of 16 in 2015! – this round will feature the pictured Slugger, Leatherface, Portal Mage and Portal Slug in a selection of hand cast rubber finishes. Due to touch down in the Bigmantoys store this Saturday, April 25th at 11pm London time, DotS: Wave 2 will again be available through 2 different buying options; singularly for $10, or just $30 for the “Value” 4 pack; with super-glossy companion trading cards of each character available for an additional $1 per figure… Stay tuned for news of the next wave over the coming months!
