Max Toy Co’s Monster Boogie Gatchapon Series unveiled…

Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has just unveiled an absolutely huge new release that’ll be seeing the light of day soon, the Monster Boogie Gatchapons! The brain child of Max Toy’s producer Quack Maxx, the series is set to feature a whopping total of 10 different mini-sized sculpts from a variety of different artists, including the Dino Bros from Pico Pico, a car-humanoid character who appears to be from PPPudding, plus a new rendition of Nagata’s own Eyezon. With a few of the figures already revealed in vinyl (as far back as October last year!), we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed these awesome little guys see their first release soon…

Max Toy Co are proud to reveal that their “Uninco” Monster Boogie sofubi has returned in a gorgeous “Pink” colorway! Designed and sculpted by none other than Pico Pico, the adorable little unicorn monster stands at around 3″ tall and features articulation in the neck. Produced in an eye-catching light pink soft vinyl this time around, the mini has been treated to a number of masked pastel and neon sprays. Currently available in super-limited quantities right here, the “Pink” Uninco can be yours for just $32 plus shipping…

Max Toy Co‘s Mark Nagata is proud to reveal that he’ll be unleashing a hand painted run of “Mushroom Monster” Kaiju Kinora sofubi online this week! Originally created by artist Kaori Hinata as part of last year’s Kaiju Gals contest, the adorable little fungi has been sculpted by TTToy’s Makino-san at a Monster Boogie-compatible 3″ tall. Produced in a grey soft vinyl this time around, the figure has been treated to a detail hugging black rub, gold detailing and simple green, red and yellow sprays courtesy of Nagata. Touching down in the Max Toy store this coming Friday, September 4th, expect to pay around $30 plus shipping for the piece…

Originally teased in clay prototype form a couple of months back, the Ultimate Saikobi kaiju from Max Toy Co will finally be seeing its first release later this month! An upscaled version of the previously released Saikobi “Monster Boogie” sofubi mini, the Suzuki Works-designed figure has been sculpted by Pico Pico in his signature half-mecha style, coming in a little under 8″ tall and featuring 6 points of articulation. Pictured here in an unpainted tan soft vinyl, Ultimate Saikobi will actually be making its debut in an as-yet-unrevealed paint scheme, touching down at Tokyo’s Dai-Kaiju Monster Salon this coming Saturday, June 13th for an undisclosed sum. Following the success of Teresa Chiba’s Kibunadon, Mark Nagata over at Max Toy Co has revealed that another 2 designs from last year’s Kaiju Gals competition have made the transition into soft vinyl and will be up for grabs soon! Featuring “Kaiju Kinora” (the Mushroom Monster) from Kaori Hinata and “Kaiju Nemuke” from Hikari Bambi, the pair have been sculpted by none other than Makino-san of TTToys, coming in-scale with previous “Monster Boogie” figures at around 3″ tall. Pictured here in a stunning green soft vinyl, we can only assume that the duo will be debuting in this color at Superfestival 68 next Sunday, April 26th. But that’s not all… One of the original “Monster Boogie” figures, Saikobi, is set to return in upscaled “Ultimate” form! Designed and sculpted by Pico Pico, the incredible mid-large size kaiju features a similar half-mecha style to the recently released Kumaborg- albeit on a much larger scale! Pictured here as a finished clay proto, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for a release over the next couple of months…

Medicom Toy have secured yet another exclusive release from Max Toy Co, the “Fluorescent” Yuninko set! Taken from Max Toy’s latest wave of “Monster Boogie” sofubi minis, the adorable My Little Pony-inspired centaur has been sculpted by PicoPico, standing at a little under 4″ tall and coming complete with articulation in the neck. To be released as a set of 3 produced in a mix of bright yellow, green and pink soft vinyl, the trio each come with an array of contrasting masked spray work and hand painted detailing. Due to touch down on the Medicom Toy store right here on Sunday, December 7th, the “Fluorescent” Yuninkos will set you back just 5,000yen ($43) plus shipping. Overseas ordering is still to be confirmed, but it’s likely that you’re are going to need to hit up a forwarding service to be in with a chance of bagging the trio…
