Mad genius Matias over at Kalaka Toys has just revealed his first toy of 2015, E.M.E: The Evil MOTU Eater! Featuring a whole slew of kit-bashed MOTU parts – namely the heads of the series’ most memorable heroes and foes – the hulking figure features an originally sculpted, kaiju-style body, loosely taking on the appearance of the MIMP Jotun Troll. Initially due to be cast in resin for a limited release on the Kalaka store, Matias is currently looking into soft vinyl production for the figure, so fingers crossed that with a few modifications the figure makes it into sofubi later on in the year. Keep track of the Kalaka Toys Instagram feed here for news on that first resin release soon…
“War on Prehis rages on. Merciless. Endless. Without remorse… The abominable face of Death on this godforsaken planet has taken another lethal form: Death Drones, raiding patrols of the infamous Skull Squad – leaving a path of annihilation wherever they go…”
The fine chaps over at Goodleg Toys are proud to present the third figure in the ongoing War on Prehis line, Death Drone! Kit-bashed and re-sculpted from various 5.5″ action figures, the humanoid protagonist has been cast up in 3 different colourways for the initial release; Opaque Green, Translucent Green, and Glow in the Dark! All handmade by the Death himself, each Drone comes bagged and headed with a copy of the first WoP mini comic whilst stocks last. Touching down in the Goodleg Shoppe today (9/13) at 6.66pm London time (7.06pm!), pricing on the figure is still to be confirmed… Head over to the new Goodleg Tumblr here for more pics!
Originally debuting in limited quantities at the Jung Busch Resin Toy Show back in May, Goodleg Toys‘ second War on Prehis figure, the fearsome Mace Drone, will finally be up for pre-order later this week! Joining Claw Drone, the latest fusion of cyborgs, zombies and pre-historic beasts (come on, what’s not to like out of that mix?!) has been kit-bashed and intensively resculpted from a vintage KO 5.5″ action figure, coming cast in a light grey resin with red, black and yellow hand painted detailing. Touching down in the Goodleg store this Sunday, July 14th for an undisclosed sum, the hideous freak of nature (in a good way, of course!) will be joined by a beautifully realised mini companion comic from none other than Ralph Niese…
After months of sleepless nights of tooling, moulding, and improving, the guys over at Goodleg Toys are finally gearing up for the release of their debut WAR ON PREHIS release, the mighty Claw Drones! Kit-bashed and intensely re-sculpted from a tight selection of vintage 5.5″ action figures, the neo-vintage piece has been meticulously cast in a retro-blue resin, coming in either painted or blank DIY form. Available at a discounted pre-order price of $48 and $38 respectively, the Claw Drones will be up for grabs on the Goodleg store starting Good Friday, March 29th. The pre-order will be open until April 29th, at which point the price will change to the standard $50 and $40 plus shipping. Head over to our original post here for the full lowdown on the series, and be sure to head over and ‘like’ the official WOP Facebook page for all the latest updates…
Claw Drone backstory//
“Just like all Battle Drones, Claw Drones are insensible, dead human organisms, kept artificially alive by a synthetic life-support system. The Cyber Genetic Killer Battle Saurs are their masters, using them as weapons and tools in their daily bellum omnium contra omnes on post-apocalyptic Prehis.
With their gigantic protheses Claw Drones literally “cut” their way through the battle field. Once they make it through, they can easily chop off the legs of opposing Battle Saurs, irrespective of how strong the armor is. These Drones can cut through everything!”
