  • One of the most technical sculpts from RESTORE’s Junnosuke Abe to date, the gigantic Final More Meat features a design inspired by TMNT Krang’s Android Body, sporting a removable visor, heart chest piece and a cockpit that fits the original Iron Meat figure

  • Co-designed by Pop Soda and RESTORE, the latest figure in the Jungle Fever series – an orangutan named Meme – has been sculpted by none other than Knuckle of Little Chop Design
  • Debut version comes cast in what appears to be a GID sofubi, coming with pink green and yellow sprays with red brushed detailing
  • Going on sale at the Pop Soda/Refreshment Toy Wonderfestival Winter 2017 booth (#5-8-10) on Sunday, February 19th

The Restore x Pop Soda Painting Contest…

Originally announced here last week, we can now reveal full entry details for Restore‘s monumental painting contest! Giving sofubi customisers a choice of 4 different figures to work with; Neo Japan, Iron Meat and Pop Soda collaborations Jungle Fever Darts and Fog; all have been cast in either blank flesh or white soft vinyl with matching accessories where applicable. Open to anyone who purchases and paints up one of the allotted figures before the July 10th, 2016 deadline, one lucky winner will receive one of the most unreal prizes we’ve seen to date- a chance at having your face sculpted on an original Neo Japan figure!

Currently available to Japanese customers via Pop Soda priced between 5,000yen ($41) to 6,000yen ($50) each, international artists (and blank collectors alike!) can expect all 4 figures on the Lulubell Toys store this coming Wednesday, February 17th… Once you’re happy with your custom, all you’ll have to do to enter the contest is fire over your name, city, custom’s name, it’s concept or theme, any additional info plus a website/SNS if you have one to Contest.Popsoda.Restore@gmail.Com before the July deadline… Good luck to all you painters out there!

Originally unveiled at Wondefestival Winter 2016 over the weekend, sofubi producer Restore is holding a worldwide painting contest for all you budding kaiju customisers out there! Offering up 4 different figures to work with; Neo Japan, Iron Meat and Pop Soda collaborations Jungle Fever Darts and Fog; all have been cast in either blank flesh or white soft vinyl with matching accessories where applicable. Available in limited quantities at WF for just 5,000yen ($41) to 6,000yen ($50) each, we’ve been told competition entry figures will be available internationally through the usual retail outlets (Lulubell for one) over the next few weeks… Look out for the full lowdown as soon as we have it!


MAN-E-NEWS// Pop Soda’s DCon ’15 exclusive “Fog” sofubi teased…

Joining a whole host of soft vinyl cupcake-related goodness at DCon ’15 next weekend, the guys over at Pop Soda and Refreshment Toy have just revealed that the “Fog” Jungle Fever sofubi will also be making a return in an exclusive new colorway! Designed by PopSoda and sculpted by RESTORE’s Abe Junnokai, the beautifully realised chameleon stands upright at just under 8″, coming complete with 10 separate parts and 7 points of articulation. Produced in what appears to be an icy blue soft vinyl with light green and purple sprays for this release, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the figure is joined by a matching “Darts”, the latest figure in the Jungle Fever series.
