After months of painstaking planning and development, resin artist Tim Stephson over at Ultimate Skull & Cobra is proud to reveal that not one, but two monumental new figures will be touching down in his store later this week! First up, we have Stephson’s loving tribute to Godzilla, the King Kaiju. Inspired by the classic garage kits of old, this humungous piece features in excess of 40 separate hand sculpt and cast resin pieces, including individually assembled GID dorsal plates as well as magnetically articulated arms. Limited to an initial run of just 5 pieces – each coming painted up in their own unique colorway – the King Kaiju will be up for grabs at just $150 plus shipping- a snip when you consider the sheer amount of work that’s gone into each one!

Next up, we have the super-creepy “Uchu Kaijin”… Heavily inspired by HR Geiger’s extensive body of work, the gruesome alien baby has been designed and hand sculpted by Stephson, coming rotocast in resin – a first for USaC – with several additional layers painted internally for extra strength. Limited to an edition of just 4 pieces – each coming in their own unique colorway and packed with an original painting – the Uchu Kaijins will be joining the King Kaijus in the USaC store this coming Friday, March 27th at 7pm Central for just $100 each plus shipping…

strato

Within the final few days of his Super Robot StratoMaxx Kickstarter campaign, Bryan Borgman of Kaiju Kaos is proud to reveal a number of custom tiers for the hulking 13″ of fully articulated resin! Intended as 1 of 4 core ‘colossal’ characters for the extensive Kaiju Kaos tabletop universe, the figure takes inspiration from classic Super Robot designs such as Mazinger Z, Gigantor, UFO Robot Grendizer, and Mattel’s Shogun Warriors. With the Kickstarter intended to raise funds in order to produce the piece as a fully fledged garage-style resin kit, the new tiers put in place now offer one-off, fully painted and assembled versions from some of the indie toy scene’s finest, including Clawfreak (Jason Speth), Ersico (Eric Sorrells), Evilos (Christopher Charles Avalos),Mark Nagata, and Super_SandBagger (JR Deem)- and all for just $200 a piece! Interested parties can find out more about the project through the Kickstarter campaign page here. Be quick though, at the time of writing there are only 4 days left to get your pledges in!
