MAN-E-NEWS// The ‘Ray-Gun’ custom bootleg from ManOrMonster? Studios…

ManOrMonsterStudios-Ray-Gun_CosmicStorm_-80

As promised in our coverage of Evilos’ Humavor last week, we take a little look at another piece from the ‘Toys Are Us‘ group show currently available to purchase online, the ‘Ray-Gun’ custom bootleg from ManOrMonster? Studios… Another fine piece of kit-bashing from the artist, the ingenius figure features pieces from vintage and modern MOTU toys alike (namely from our favourite character, Man-E-Faces) as well as an oversized Reagan doll head. Coming cast in four one-off colourways including the pictured “Golden Gipper” and GID “Cosmic Storm”, the hand cast resins feature the same neo-mag joints as all of ManOrMonster?’s releases, making them fully interchangeable/compatible with both Warlords of Wor and MOTUMU. Priced at just $80, the remaining “Golden Gipper” can be found on the Rockford Art Deli store right here

MAN-E-NEWS// The Humavor custom Glyos from Evilos…

Evilos-Humavor-100

With the pieces from Killer Bootlegs‘ recent ‘Toys Are Us’ group show now up for grabs through the Rockford Art Deli online store, we’ve decided to shine some light on one particular figure that caught our eye, the ‘Humavor’ custom Glyos from Evilos… Apart from being quite a change from the norm for the Disney Vinylmation artist, the beautifully rendered piece offers up one of those rare “Why hasn’t this been done before?” moments. With all of the stunning anthropomorphic, abstract and futuristic sculpts for the popular Armorvor figure we’ve seen so far, it’s a wonder a realistic human head design doesn’t already exist, but Evilos does it here, and with a flair all his own… Packaged in an authentic clamshell pack with Star Wars style backer, the Humavor can be found in the R.A.D store right here for $100 plus shipping. Stay tuned tomorrow as we take a look at another piece from the show, ManOrMonster? Studios’ Ray Gun!
