Rotofugi’s SDCC ’17 soft vinyl exclusives…

As is customary, retailer Rotofugi prepare a swathe of soft vinyl exclusives for this year’s SDCC

Revealed release so far include-

  • A Little Misfortune finger puppets, coming cast in a mix of clear yellow, clear with pink glitter or clear with blue glitter Japanese soft vinyl. Limited to 50 of each color and priced at $13 a piece
  • Ghost Eye finger puppets, designed by Cherry Moth Cake (Nick and Lindsay DiFabbio) and produced in unpainted lime green, clear pink and clear purple with blue & pink glitter sofubi. Limited to 35 of each color, these have been priced at $15 each
  • “Stark Edition” Snybora, coming cast in a blue sofubi-style vinyl and treated to layers of metallic sprays inspired by Iron Man. Limited to 20 priced at $38 each. These will be joined by a variety of blank Snyboras for $25 and customs available between $70-$130 each
  • Max Toy Co customs, including TriPus, Crusher G Ape and GID Dino SaiKobi, each coming painted by Mark Nagata, ranging between $220-$335 each

All of these and more will be available at Rotofugi’s SDCC ’17 booth (#5248) starting preview night this Wednesday, July 19th

Originally available at Designer Con ’16 last month, new colorways of Misty Fog Toys‘ Mega Junktion and Gargamel‘s Nazo-Gacha Dai Moai are now up for grabs online

Rumble Monsters’ SDCC ’16 excluisve one-off Bob Dragon sofubi…

Joining the previously posted toys from Chima Group and Grumble Toy, the guys over at Rotofugi come with yet another excluisve they’ll have up for grabs at SDCC ’16 this week, a round of one-off customs from legendary sofubi producers Rumble Monsters! Seeing the welcome return of both King Bop Dragon and Bop Dragon, both have been treated to a number of unique custom sprays on clear vinyl, coming complete with belly inserts for $195 each. Looking for something a little smaller? Then you’ll be gad to know that the all-new Baby Bop Dragons have also been given a similar treatment, featuring a ton of c-thru and opaque sprays over 3″ of clear sofubi goodness for just $65 each… Look out for these alongside a whole host of other goodies at the Squibbles Ink + Rotofugi SDCC booth (#5248) starting Wednesday, July 20th…


Rotofugi’s SDCC ’16 exclusive Parabola and Tengallon from Chima Group…

Joining the previously posted Chubby Tough, Rotofugi have unveiled 2 more adorable sofubi exclusives they’ll have up for grabs at SDCC ’16 next week, Parabola and Tengallon from Chima Group! Standing at around 2.75″ tall and coming complete with an Elizabethan collar that’s said to pic up radio waves (?!), the lightning bolt-tailed Parabola has been produced in a bright pink soft vinyl complete with blue and yellow accents. Super smiley amphibious monster Tengallon, on the other hand, comes in at a slightly shorter 2.5″. Cast in the same bright pink vinyl, the little guy has been treated to gorgeous metallic pink, purple and gold sprays with white and black masked detailing. Available in super-limited quantities through the Rotofugi SDCC ’16 booth (#5248) starting Wednesday, July 20th, both Parabola and Tengallon have been priced at just $40 each…


Grumble Toy x Rotofugi’s SDCC ’16 exclusive Chubby Tough…

Rotofugi and Squibbles Ink have teamed up with Grumble Toy for an SDCC ’16 exclusive Chubby Tough release! Designed and produced by GT’s Chris Bryan and Ainslie Sturko, the portly feline stands at around 3.5″ tall and has three points of articulation. Cast in a clear pink soft vinyl and treated to minimal yellow, black and red detailing, this version has been limited to a run of just 10 pieces priced at $40 each. Rotofugi and Squibbles Ink are proud to announce the return of Frank Kozik‘s Jerome sofubi in an all-new “Rocket Pop” colorway! Designed by Kozik and produced by Squibbles Ink, the 4″ tall soft vinyl figure has been cast in a mix of white and light brown, the time coming hand sprayed in a gorgeous red/white/blue fade reminiscent of the classic Rocket Pop ice lollys. Packed with removable “Smork” accessory, this new summertime Jerome has been limited to 75 pieces priced at just $19.95 each plus shipping. Retailer Rotofugi have teamed up with Chris Ryniak and Squibbles Ink to bring back their collaboratively produced Snybora sofubi in an all-new “Blues Brother” colorway! Sculpted and designed by Ryniak for the ongoing mini Lake Monster series, the 3.5″ tall, 2-part figure has been cast in a vibrant blue soft vinyl this time around, complete with silver, metallic purple and black sprays.
