Disart ToyLabs x Awesome Toy’s SD Fake Baron keshi…

pencil topper promo

After months on the drawing board, we can finally reveal the latest figure in Awesome Toy‘s ongoing Artist Collection series… the “Super Deformed” Fake Baron keshi from our very own Tru:Tek and the Disart ToyLabs! Designed by Tru:Tek to fit in with the standard vintage SD super bot keshi, the little guy has been 3D sculpted in-scale by Brownoize at little under 1″ tall, coming hand cast in an authentic keshi-style urethane rubber. Available with 2 initial buying options, we have a 3-pack produced in the super ‘bot’s classic red/yellow/blue and a special singular version, again coming in red but fitted with a pencil-sized hole in the bottom. Both coming packed in a gacha capsule with an insert designed by Tru:Tek with artwork from Rich Sheehan, the 3-pack and pencil topper can currently be found in the Toy Underground store right here for just $15 and $7 respectively… Look out for news on a Disart ToyLabs exclusive version very soon!

MAN-E-NEWS// Awesome Toy’s next “Artist Collection” Fake Baron figure from Tru:Tek x Brown Noize teased…

625x465_4020298_12877270_1447192672

Having had success with releases from both Goodleg and Bigmantoys, Awesome Toy have turned to our very own Tru:Tek and Brown Noize Productions for the latest figure in their ongoing Fake Baron “Artist Collection” series! Whilst we can’t reveal too much about the project at present, we can at least confirm that it will follow a similar keshi look and feel to Bigmantoys’ mini figure rendition, albeit at a slightly different scale… Designed and produced by Tru:Tek over at the Disart ToyLabs will digital sculpting duties carried out by Brown Noize’s super-talented Sanjeev, the little guy will hopefully be making his debut sometime before the year is out… In the meantime, we’ll just have to leave you drooling over the 3D render above!

MAN-E-NEWS// Newtervision’s Dracula-inspired Deformate keshi revealed…

With “Frank”, “Madman” and “Pyonshi” releasing last year to huge critical acclaim (check them here if you haven’t already), Newtervison‘s horror keshi series “Deformate” is set to return soon with the arrival of an all-new Dracula inspired figure! Pictured here on the work-bench of sculptor Kto Kto as a near-finished clay prototype, the little guy is very much in-keeping with the previous figures (pictured here with Frank), featuring a chunky super-deformed aesthetic and coming in at around 2.5″ tall. Whilst release details are still scarce at present, we’re guessing the latest Deformate will be making his debut in a selection of different colored rubber/resin at Design Fiesta 41 later this month. Stay tuned for more news as soon as we hear anything!

MAN-E-FEATURE// The Deka Sneagator Claw from Eric Nilla…

With the release of the MAN-E-TOYS Nilla x Niku exclusives, plus our very own ‘Ed Skworm Vs. Min-E-Face 2 pack looming ever nearer, we’ve decided to take a closer look at another Eric Nilla creation, the Deka Sneagator Claw. Paying homage to the iconic M.U.S.C.L.E figure, Eric has perfectly recreated the claw in an oversized 4″ Deka format (check out the scaled up sprue “scars”… true attention to detail!) . Hand sculpted and cast in an authentic keshi style rubber, the Deka Sneagator Claw is still available in a wide variety of opaque and clear colours for just $35 plus shipping. Anyone interested in bagging the figure should hit Eric up through the dedicated Little Rubber Guys thread here

MAN-E-NEWS// Custom painted NillaKeshi Splatterhouse Rick from I.Designs…

In lieu of securing Eric Nilla’s SD Splatterhouse Rick for a MAN-E-TOYS exclusive (find out more here), we’ve decided to take a little look at the awesome custom I.Designs (Imperfecz Toys) created a while back. Fetching a hefty $50 on a recent Litte Rubber Guys auction thread, I.Designs has stayed true to the original video game inspiration, decking Rick out in meticulously detailed blue jeans, a suitably stained and weathered meat cleaver… plus the all important blood splattered hockey mask! Standing at around 1″ tall, the authentic keshi-style rubber figure will be landing in our store over the next month (price tbc), but if you can’t wait (or are looking for different colours!), head over to the dedicated LRG thread here. Expect more news on our Nilla x Niku exclusives soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The Super Rare M.U.S.C.L.E Can V.2 from Nama-Niku x Muscle Things…

As we prepare for the launch of our exclusive Super Rare M.U.S.C.L.E Can colourway, we bring you the first shots of its latest incarnation, Version 2! Created by Nama-Niku and Muscle Things, the newly revised design features a whole host of new non-poster figures (from our count, there appears to be 8 crammed in this time), housed in a stunningly re-sculpted trash can. This time coming with no “dings” or creases, Tyler over at Nama-Niku has focused on keeping the design as simple and refined as possible… and as you can see from the pics, it’s more than paid off! Unfortunately we have no news on pricing or availability at present, so your best bet is to stay locked on the dedicated M.U.S.C.L.E Can V.2 thread… here’s hoping we can secure another exclusive on this one in the near future!!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Meatgrinder vs. Half Baked Ham Namakeshi custom bootlegs…

As mentioned earlier in the week, we still weren’t sure as to whether Meatgrinder’s sparring buddy, Half Baked Ham, would be making it into our first batch of Nama-Niku x Eric Nilla Namakeshi exclusives… well today we can reveal that our meaty friend has made the cut! To be released alongside Meatgrinder in the original Vs. 2 pack, the set will be limited to a super-rare edition of just three, with two coming in the previously revealed blue, whilst the remainder will be cast in purple. To celebrate this awesome news, we’ve decided to take a closer look at the figures… plus a sneak peak at Nama-Niku’s upcoming Chibi Half Baked!

Easily one of our favourite custom M.U.S.C.L.E 2 packs to date, Meatgrinder vs. Half Baked Ham plays on Nama-Niku’s reoccurring meat theme with style (apt considering Niku directly translates as “meat” in Japanese!)… Similar in design to the previously featured Chibi version, Meatgrinder features a beautifully realised meat grinder shaped head (replete with oozing meat!), plus the unmistakable Namakeshi branding that we’ve all come to know and love (the letter M presumably reffers to Meat!). His rival, the Half Baked Ham, has also been treated with the same care and attention, with the half baked head’s ingenious “bone” eye, pineapple slices and carving knife never failing to make us smile. Coming bagged and headed together, these pro-quality figures have been cast in a flexible keshi style rubber with an authentic flesh toned tint (more colours are available). Head over to Rubber Little Guys here with any purchasing enquiries… or you could just wait until we release ours!

Joining the marvelous Chibi Meatgrinder comes the latest mini-M.U.S.C.L.E in the illustrious Namakeshi series, the Chibi Half Baked! Once again sticking to the semi-realistic proportions of the Chibi Meatgrinder, the new Half Baked retains the ham-head (this time centralising the “bone” eye) and knife, sacrificing the bold HAM lettering for an H buckle that is a lot better suited to the miniature design. No news on exact pricing or release dates, so be sure to stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks…
