MAN-E-NEWS// The SDCC exclusive Lurker from Skinner x Color Ink Book…

Screen Shot 2014-07-23 at 14.08.26

Color Ink Book have teamed up with Skinner for an SDCC exclusive version of his Lurker resin! Originally making an appearance at DCon last year, the full sized figure (not to be confused with the recent Unbox minis!) has been subtly retooled for the release, coming complete with a pair of interchangeable hands- one holding a skull, and another, slightly more disturbing, clutching a baby by the ankles! Cast in a black resin and featuring minimal silver and crimson red painted detailing, the edition of 10 Lurkers will be up for grabs at the Color Ink Book booth (#4531) for an estimated price of $60 each…

MAN-E-NEWS// Miscreation Toys’ “Gergle” Autopsy Baby sofubi at SDCC…

Screen Shot 2014-07-23 at 14.09.45

Briefly mentioned in our Lulubell coverage earlier in the week, Jeremi Rimel over at Miscreation Toys has just confirmed that his “Gergle” Autopsy Baby will be making it’s debut at SDCC this week! Likely to drop in the unpainted colours pictured above, we’re guessing these guys will be up for grabs as part of the big Miscreation Toys lottery and signing at the Lulubell Toys booth (#5045) on Friday, July 25th at 3pm. Edition size and pricing is still to be confirmed, so be sure to keep track of the Autopsy Baby Instagram feed here for more details later in the week… On top of the AB releases, Rimel will also be unveiling the below prototype in full at some point during the event- so be sure to stay tuned for the reveal as soon as we can get our grubby hands on it!

Screen Shot 2014-07-23 at 14.07.22

With SDCC finally opening it’s doors later today, the guys over at DKE Toys have just revealed one of the many “special treats” they’ll have up for grabs alongside the previously posted exclusives… the “Infected” Sucklord mini figure from Scott Wilkowski! Originally making it’s debut at the Super Suck Up 2 show last year, the 2″ figure has been recast from S.U.C.K.L.E Series 1, coming in a clear blue resin this time, complete with minute skeletal insert embedded inside. Due to come packed on a blistered cardback similar to the first release, the “Infected” Sucklords will be up for grabs at the DKE Toys booth (#5045) for $50 each…

UPDATE// Dov over at DKE Toys has very kindly given us a little extra info on these guys! As opposed to an all-new edition, these are actually the second half of the original batch that have been held back since DCon last year. Based on the Sucklord 75 proto for Series 2, this sculpt won’t be seeing an official release until later in the year- making the little guys even more special!

Having been teased on Brian Flynn‘s Instagram feed over the past couple of weeks now, we can now unveil arguably the hottest exclusive that’ll be up for grabs at the Super7 SDCC booth later this week… the vintage-style Alien soft vinyl mini! A collaboration with none other than Secret Base, the 4.5″ tall figure has been designed to look like a classic Poppy sofubi, the black cast piece comes complete with 3 points of articulation (waste and arms), plus the inclusion of that all-important clear dome. Packaged in an authentically styled window box, the figure will be going on sale at the Super7 booth (#4945) for $45, with an online release planned through SB soon after…

Joining both CHORKO and the “Hand Paint” edition Quackula, Healeymade has just unveiled a third figure he’ll be bringing along to SDCC later this week, the stunning Astro Knight! The latest figure in the artist’s ongoing 3.75 Series, the seamlessly kit-bashed figure has been cast in an exclusive blue GID resin for the event, with a standard colourway due for an online release at some point in the near future. Coming packed in a resealable plastic clamshell with a beautiful triple processed hot foil backer courtesy of Sidekick Lab, we’re guessing Astro Knight will follow previous releases with an edition of 25 priced at around $75 each. We’ve no news at present with regards to where and when these guys will be available, although we assume they’ll be making an appearance at Skinner’s booth alongside CHORKO. Keep track of Healeymade’s Instagram feed here for confirmation later in the week!
