MAN-E-NEWS// Splurrt’s Cadaver Twins test pull revealed…

splurrt

Originally revealed here as a prototype back in April, Splurrt‘s latest monstrosity, the Cadaver Twins, have just received their first successful test pull! Pictured here in a green soft vinyl, the beast stands at around 6.5″ tall, coming with an impressive 7 points of articulation. News on a release are still pretty thin on the ground at the moment, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that an initial unpainted run will be offered up via preorder on a similar basis to the Apex Diggler soon. Keep track of the Splurrt blog here for more pics and info over the coming weeks!

Whilst we rather impatiently wait for the delivery of the first batch of unpainted Evolved Beast Digglers, Splurrt shares images of the latest monstrosity heading to soft vinyl… presenting the Cadaver Twins! As with the new Diggler, it appears the hideous beast will be significantly larger than his older brothers, this time around coming with 4 fully articulated arms and 3 legs. Unfortunately news on the release is still thin on the ground at the moment (we suspect it’ll be at least Autumn before it sees the light of day), so we suggest keeping track of the Splurrt IG feed here for any further developments…

MAN-E-NEWS// Japanese Ion Men factory samples from A.O.I…

028

After a whopping 14 months on the drawing board, Any Old Ion‘s labour of love, the ‘Japanese Ion Men’ modular sofubi have finally been revealed in near-finished factory sample form! Consisting of a staggering 51 different soft vinyl cast parts designed by A.O.I in conjunction with turboPISTOLA, the series features a number of interchangeable pieces inspired by previous A.O.I releases ‘Atomic Beartank’ and ‘Seismic Ace’, Spanky Stokes’ Stroll, plus a number of all-new designs from the pair. Cast in a soft Japanese vinyl by none other than Velocitron, we should hopefully be seeing the first release soon… We’ll be interested to see whether the line will be offered up as a set of individual parts or as fully assembled bots, and of course, how colour will be dealt with considering the interchangeability factor- the possibilities are limitless! Either way, this will be one series any diehard ‘bot fan will NOT want to miss…
