Hellpainter’s Hell Maijin garage kit…

Brought to our attention by collector Beantime during his walk through the halls of Superfestival 71 yesterday, we thought we’d shine some light on this rather interesting garage kit from Hellpainter… the Hell Maijin! One of the best homages to the classic Ooze-It doll we’ve seen to date, the beautifully textured figure brings a whole new level of creepiness to the table, featuring mutated alien skin, sagging craters and our favourite, an Alien-style tongue creature! Produced in an unassembled blank Ooze-green resin (the painted version was just for display), interested parties looking to bag Hell Maijin can currently find him alongside an number of other kits in the Hellpainter store for just 9,000yen ($83) plus shipping…

Standing at around 4.5″ tall and featuring articulation in the neck, shoulders and waist, the classic fight-style figure has been produced by Secret Base in what appears to be a double-poured, silver glitter-infused clear vinyl this time around, coming complete with simple masked sprays and logo decal detailing. Touching down at Sufes this coming Sunday, April 24th, pricing and edition size for the figure are still to be confirmed…

Japan-based sofubi producer Science Patrol are proud to reveal that they’ve prepared 2 all-new figures for release just in time for Superfestival 71 this weekend! First up, we have the as-yet-untitled dungeon creep pictured on the left. Standing little over 3″ tall and featuring articulation at the waist, this crystal-headed beast has been treated to purple and silver sprays over a flesh-based red rub, coming complete with a collar fitted with a real metal chain… Next, we have the latest SP collaboration with W.H.L.T, Lord of Limbs! Essentially a horned helmet with a tentacle parasite body, this D&D inspired piece has been treated to silver sprays, brown to black fades and gold painted detailing. To be joined by a full-sized humanoid body version soon, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed Lord of Limbs and his unnamed buddy will make it to the online SP store soon after Sufes…

Kotobuki Man is proud to announce that his “Texas Butcher” Splatter Retsuden keshi is set to make a return in an all-new colorway exclusive to Superfestival 71! The fifth figure to feature in the cult horror-themed mini series, the butcher – instantly recognisable as Leatherface from A Texas Chainsaw Massacre – had been hand sculpted by Kotobuki at around 2.5″ tall, this time coming in a soft keshi-like yellow resin for the release. Going on sale at the Uncut booth this Sunday, April 24th, here’s hoping any leftovers make it online soon after… Looking for more Kotobuki?! Then you’ll be glad to know that our very own Tru:Tek has teamed up with the artist for a special run of Gory Hole/Warui Zonbi stickers, pins and patches… More on those soon!

Produced by Grody Shogun in a life-like marbled flesh and red soft vinyl with minimal hand painted detailing, this debut edition of Bo Bo will be available through the Lulubell store from Sunday, April 24th for $175, whilst an exclusive Japan-only version will see a release on the same day at Superfestival 71

Last teased at Superfestival 69 over 6 months ago now, the long awaited Heragrado kaiju from Roughneck.7 will finally see the light of day this month with not 1, but 2 exclusive releases! Continuing their renaissance in classically styled kaiju – albeit on a larger scale – the beetle-like beast dwarfs the previously released Demushiron, Yabkyrie and Jabara at around 14″ tall (TBC), coming complete with 9 points of articulation that can be manipulated to transform the figure into the stunning “tank mode” you can check out right here. Going on sale first at Superfestival 71 this weekend in a limited GID colorway (left), we’re told that this will be quickly followed up with another version (right) just in time for the Osaka Soft Expo on March 21st. Priced at 18,000yen ($161) each, here’s hoping we’re not left waiting too long before we start seeing these guys overseas!

Going on sale at the event this Sunday, March 13th for a wallet friendly 1,000yen ($9) each, we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for an online JiroJiro release soon after…
