Violence Toy have teamed up with Krotpong for their latest artist run, proudly presenting the Tokusatsu Beast Selection! Featuring all 4 figures from the initial VT line-up, each has been painted by Krotpong to resemble some of Japan’s most cherished I’ve action characters; Asogian Assassin as Spectreman, Time Gore as Tetsujin Tiger 7, Troll Borg as Kamen Rider 1 and the Death Car Exterminator as Kikader. Going on sale in the Krotpong store next Thursday, September 1 for an undisclosed sum, interested parties can take a closer look at the figures by checking out the artist’s Instagram feed right here…
Whilst we rather impatiently wait for more news of his upcoming figures Kella and Lekka, HK-based artist Kearjun has just unveiled an all-new version of his original soft vinyl figure YouZha, the “Pigumon” edition! Standing at around 8″ tall and featuring 5 points of articulation, the Fulci Zombi 2-inspired figure has been treated to a blue/flesh/red paint app inspired by Ultraman’s classic balloon-carrying foe Pigumon. Limited to a run of just 5 figures (including a special chase!), these will be going on sale via Instagram/e-mail lottery starting Monday, April 1st… Check out the dedicated IG post right here for the full lowdown on how to enter!
We’re coming to the end of yet another month in the world of toys and that can mean only one thing… a fresh batch of Elegab lottery sales! Opting to focus on his latest – and in our eyes greatest! – figure “Hyouga King”, two different versions of the 8″ tall, 3-headed mammoth are up for grabs; a “GID”, coming in glow soft vinyl with vivid neon sprays and a “Green”, cast in opaque green vinyl with a selection of primary and metallic sprays. Originally teased right here at the beginning of July, the second round of Fake Spectreman figures from Awesome Toy have just been revealed in final test-pull form! With the ongoing series based on pachi (bootleg) renditions of P Productions’ classic tokusatsu character Spectreman, these 2 new versions have been inspired by a little known Brazilian comic, featuring altogether more angular and stylised looks than previous renditions of the super-cyborg. Currently at the paint sampling stage ahead of release through Medicom Toy soon, be sure to stay tuned for the full lowdown vet the next few weeks…
But that’s not all… On top of the new Spectreman release, Awesome Toy have also begun teasing their latest original toy too! Whilst we’re remains tight lipped at present, we can let you know that the project has more than a little to do with infamous Japanese urban legend, Jinmenken (the human face dog)… More news on that soon!

Having had continued success with his debut sofubi Koninu, Monkey3000 over at Ummikko is proud to unveil a near-finished prototype for his latest vinyl figure! Drawing inspiration from classic tokusatsu characters as well as cult horror flick Dreamscape’s Cobra Man, the figure appears to be around the same scale as Koningu at 5.5″ tall, once again coming complete with articulation in both the arms and waist. The guys over at Unbox Industries have joined forces with up and coming toy producers Playtoy for an officially licensed, soft vinyl rendition of Tsuburaya’s Ultraman! Inspired by Bullmark’s classic chunky aesthetic, the iconic tokustsu character has been 3D sculpted by Unbox’s digital team, standing at just under 10″ tall and coming with a removable mask and “transformation device” accessory. Created as part of Ultraman’s on going 50th Anniversary celebrations, the figure is set for release through Playtoy at some point in the near future… Here’s hoping a few are held back for an online release through Unbox soon!
