MAN-E-NEWS// Awesome Toy x Medicom Toy’s Fake Spectreman sofubi…

spctruman_bagura_1_h Wasting no time since the launch of their debut sofubi Fake Baron in March, the guys over at Awesome Toy have once again teamed up with Medicom Toy for another pachi-style release… Fake Spectreman! Offering up 2 different bootleg takes on the classic tokusatu character; a traditional version in red/yellow, complete with blood sucking monster companion-omake Bakura, and a standalone version in blue/gold, the pair come in at around 9.5″ of Japanese produced soft vinyl. Up for grabs in Japan through the Medicom Toy store, priced at 11,500yen ($113) and 9,000yen ($88) respectively, overseas customers are going to need to hit up Rakuten here to bag theirs…


MAN-E-REPORT// Cosmo Knight Alpha store visit…

One of the many, many highlights of our trip over to Japan, we were lucky enough to make the pilgrimage over to the legendary Cosmo Knight Alpha shop on our last day. Run by Longneck’s Yoda-san, the modest sized space in Sakae-cho is home to easily one of the biggest collections of rare soft vinyl we’ve ever witnessed, featuring a staggering selection of vintage kaiju, original Cosmos gachapon figures, hard to find blow moulded minis, Bemon, and of course, THAT Longneck display window in the front. Anyone with even a slight interest in soft vinyl needs to visit this place at least once in their life- the following pictures after the drop simply do it no justice…  (more…)

Joining the previously posted custom Ghost Cave Cyco Ape, Lamour Supreme has just revealed he’ll also be bring along the latest run of Mishka Kaiju Bootlegs to Designer Con next week! Available in 2 different base colourways, a bright yellow and greyish blue, the super limited batch of figures come with a number of vintage kaiju-inspired sprays and hand painted detailing, with no 2 pieces alike.
