Joining the recently teased “Pea Shooter Mobile” and “RAMPAGE KAIBUTSUYA” (‘giant monster animal shop’), Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has just revealed yet another 2 figures that’ve hit the wax ready for a debut release at Superfestival next month! Whilst we still can’t confirm what the pair of worshipping natives are for, our guess is that they’ll be offered up as omake minis for the soon to be revealed KAIBUTSUYA figure. MAN-E-NEWS// The Rampage x Disarticulators x Triclops “Rotten Tomato” sofubi teased…

Having proved a huge success upon release at ToyCon UK back in April, we can now announce that The Disarticulators x TriclopsRotten Tomato” will be making the leap from rubber to soft vinyl courtesy of Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys! Whilst we’ll remain tight lipped on the project for the time being, we can reveal that the release will feature much more than just a simple recast of the ball- but that’s all for now! Due to be making it’s debut at the Rampage x Disarticulator booth at NYCC in October, stay tuned for a full, exlcuisve reveal a little closer to the event…


MAN-E-NEWS// Cojica Toy’s Chirabo wax proto revealed…

Hot off the heals of their debut sofubi “Monoclon” just a couple of months back, Cojica Toy have just revealed that their second has already hit the wax! Entitled Chirabo (TBC), the towering 9″ tall beast is due to become the latest addition to the Kyoryuju series, an ongoing line featuring a number of different dinosaurs sculpted in an adorable vintage inspired style. Judging by the finished wax proto, we should hopefully be seeing the figure in soft vinyl over the next couple of months, so be sure to keep a close eye on the Cojica Toy (Hiramoto Kaiju) IG feed here for more details soon…


MAN-E-NEWS// Kozik’s Salary Usagi-Gon wax proto revealed…

Judging by Frank Kozik‘s recent Instagram post, it appears Usagi-Gon will be the latest KFGU figure to receive the ‘salaryman’ treatment! Pictured as a finished wax head sculpt, we’re guessing that the standard 8.5″ ‘Shadow Government’ body will be joined by all-new hands, plus the obligatory suitcase accessory. News on the soft vinyl figure’s release is still thin on the ground at the moment, but we’ll be expecting exclusives at both NYCC and DCon, along with an online release soon. MAN-E-NEWS// Unpainted black Ugly Unicorns, Cyclops Dinos and the Gachapon Goblins from Rampage Toys…

Revealed here earlier in the week, the first batch of Rampage Toys‘ latest sofubi, the Gachapon Goblins, are now up for preorder! Featuring a total of of 7 1.5″-2″ tall Gachapon-ready figures, the little guys have been designed by Rampage Toys, Joseph Harmon, Walter Parenton (IV – Bobbybeast creator) and Art Junkie, with sculpting duties headed by Jon Malmstedt, Joseph Harmon, and AJ’s official prototyper. Available in an unpainted black soft vinyl as both blind-bagged singles ($10) and as a full set ($70), Rampage are also offering up a strictly limited batch of 5 fully painted sets at just $120 a pop. But that’s not all! Joining the Goblins, the Cyclops Dinos and Ugly Unicorn are also making a special one-off appearance in black vinyl! Available via open preorder, the Dinos are currently up for grabs right here at $35 for the set, whilst the UU is being offered for the super low price of $20 in celebration of it’s 2nd anniversary-has it really been that long?!!

MAN-E-NEWS// Rampage Toys’ Gachapin Goblin micro sofubis revealed…

With the likes of Superfestival, NYCC, Design Fiesta and Dcon fast approaching, Jon Malmstedt over at Rampage Toys has decided it’s about time to reveal his all-new line up of sofubi that’ll be making an appearance… presenting the Gachapin Goblin micros! Consisting of 7 1.5″-2″ tall Gachapon-ready figures, the little critters have been designed by Rampage Toys, Joseph Harmon, Walter Parenton (IV – Bobbybeast creator) and Art Junkie, with sculpting duties headed by Jon, Joseph Harmon, and AJ’s official prototyper. The first figures to be retooled and wax cast in-house at Rampage Studios, metal moulds for sofubi casting are currently being finalised for the first regular release at Superfestival on September 29th.

Those eager to secure an early set will be glad to know that a pre-order for unpainted black versions will be up on the store this Friday, August 23rd. Details are still hazy at the moment, but Jon has stated that the figures will be available for around $10 each, with special incentives for bagging the whole set, including discounts and the possibility of some blind-bag painted versions! MAN-E-NEWS// RAMPAGE x UAMOU Part 2 and more from Rampage Toys…

In an effort to make up for the fact that Rampage Toy‘s March exhibition at Studio Uamou ended up being mostly unavailable to those not able to attend, Jon Malmstedt has been hard at work on a new batch of pieces for the aptly titled “RAMPAGE x UAMOU Part 2” sale! Consisting of a few small runs of Uamous, a couple paintings (including one collaborative painting with UAMOU herself), and a batch of custom Ugly Unicorns from Uamou in her signature style (black line-work on white sofubi). Everything will go live in in the Rampage Toys shop next Friday (June 15th) at 11am Japan time (Thursday at 10 PM in American Eastern Standard Time). Cyclops Dinosaur Sofubi wax prototypes revealed…

Jon is pleased to announce that the wax prototypes for his upcoming Cyclops Dinosaur Sofubi release have been finalised… leaving just the jointing and master moulds to be made before we see these little guys in soft vinyl! Jon still plans for a debut release at SDCC this year, we’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed! More news, plus vinyl test pulls to follow shortly…

Rampage x Frenzy work-in-progress…

Whilst very little is known about Rampage Toys’ upcoming collaboration/custom series with Frenzy, we’ve decided to post the below pic as these guys were way too awesome not to share! By the looks of the Rampage Instagram feed, Jon has a lot of these customs planned in the near future… we personally can’t wait, the neon pink/purple figure is quite simply stunning! Expect to see these make an appearance sometime in July, more news soon…
