MAN-E-NEWS// The “BogBat” Ultrus Bog sofubi from Skinner…

As if news of the Lulubell Toys sale wasn’t enough, Skinner has revealed that he will also be dropping his remaining Designer Con 2014 exclusives in the Critical Hit store at Noon PST today (11/11)! Whilst we’re still unsure as to exactly what will be on offer – we’re hoping for a Morgogg or two ourselves – we can confirm that there will be at least a few of the pictured “BogBat” Ultrus Bogs up for grabs. Produced in a classic Batman grey soft vinyl with a mix of both gloss and matt black/yellow sprays, the mischievous anti-heroes will be available at the specified time right here for $150 each plus shipping…


MAN-E-NEWS// Radioactive Uppercut’s Bite-Size RR sofubi coming soon…

Originally revealed as a finished clay proto way back in December of last year, the second entry into the Radioactive Rumblers series – the undead wolfman known as Bite Size – is now finally nearing the last stages of production! Designed by Radioactive Uppercut‘s John Santagada and sculpted by the ‘titan of the Collectible Toy Industry’, Jean St. Jean Studios, the soft vinyl figure – pictured here in a test-shot white – will make a perfect sparring partner for the previously released 8-Ball, standing at a similar 4″ tall and coming with the same 3 points of articulation… Exact details on the release are still pretty scarce at the moment – John is still currently deciding whether to offer the figure up via pre-order or go down a similar route to 8-Ball with a Kickstarter campaign – but you can guarantee that once details are confirmed, you guys will be amongst the first to know…


MAN-E-NEWS// SLAVExONE’s Gero at Designer Con 2014…

Aside from playing host to works from a number of different artists, SLAVExONE‘s Designer Con 2014 booth (#1130) is set to be full to the brim with micro-runs, one-offs and unpainted releases of his very own Gero creation! For you gys lucky enough to attend the even this weekend (11/8-11/9), we bring you a quick rundown of the different cycloptic beasties that that’l be on offer…

“Early Bird” Unpainted Marble Geros// Limited to a run of just 4 pieces – 2 of which will be offered up at the start of the con on both Saturday and Sunday – these guys come in a stunning tiger stripe-style white and black marbled soft vinyl. Coming packed with custom made tag, the Unpainted Marble Geros have been priced at a super-cheap $25 each.

Gero from the Black Lagoon// A loving tribute to one of horror’s most iconic monsters, this micro-run of 3 Geros feature the webbed arms from Frank Mysterio’s Anticristo 666 figure, coming with a subtle mix of green sprays and black, brown and white brushed detailing. Pricing is still to be confirmed.

The Geronauts// A micro-run created by none other than Hellopike, these Micronauts themed Geros are available in 2 colorways that perfectly mimic the classic 70’s toy line; a trans blue with gold detailing and a clear with metallic teal- both of which have been finished with the all-important chrome head. Limited to just 3 in each color, pricing on these is also still to be confirmed.

Various One-Off Gero Customs// Alongside the 3 main releases, SLAVExONE will also be offering up a selection of one-off customs from a number of different artists from across kaiju and sofubi. Whilst the list of contributors is still to be confirmed, we know that at least Mutant Vinyl Hardcore have contributed a piece, so who knows what else may be in-store! MAN-E-NEWS// The Woebegone Mamilla sofubi from Psycho Scimitar…

Originally revealed as a finished clay sculpt back way back in December of last year, Alex Gavryushenko over at Brooklyn based toy and apparel brand Psycho Scimitar is proud to reveal that his awesome debut sofubi is fianlly read for production! Entitled “Woebegone Mamilla” (the miserable nipple!) or Woebi for short, the crazy looking aquatic kaiju stands at around 7″-8″ tall, featuring articulation in the neck as well as 3 interchangeable eye accessories. Pictured here as an initial blue and red test shot, the soft vinyl figure is set to release in these colors with both painted and blank variants soon. Teased in test shot form at the Rampage Toys x Tru:Tek NYCC booth earlier in the month, Splurrt‘s Walking Cadaver is set to make its debut exclusively at Mishka‘s NYC location this week! Featuring the highly sought after Cadaver Twin body with an all-new zombie head sculpt, the 7″ tall figures have been produced in the same bright purple as the original test shot, coming complete with green, blue and purple sprays plus a choice of either blonde, grey or red hair. Touching down at the store at some point next Wednesday, October 29th for an undisclosed sum, be sure to keep an eye on Splurrt’s Instagram feed here for full details on the release very soon…

DLux turns his hand to Frank Mysterio’s ever popular Anticristo 666 sofubi for his latest custom micro-run! Produced in a red Japanese soft vinyl this time around, the limited batch of 4 7″ tall figures have been treated to a mix of metallic blue, metallic purple, orange and gold sprays with black hand painted detailing. Priced at just $125 each, the D-Lux Anticristos can currently be found on the artist’s web store right here

Butch Adams over at ButcherBrand is proud to reveal that his long awaited Slime Ape figures are finally making their debut this weekend via lottery! Designed, sculpted and produced by Butch, the awesome all-American kaiju stands at around 5″ tall, coming complete with articulation in both the neck and arms. Painted up in a slime green with detail hugging black rubs, the limited batch of 3 figures will be offered up to the lucky winners for just $70 each.
