Having delved into the extensive world of WWE over the past year through their highly popular Soft Vinyl Fighting Series, Medicom Toy are proud to reveal that the line will be returning to it’s roots this month with 2 of Japan’s most iconic wrestlers, “The Dragon” Tatsumi Fujinami and Genichiro Tenryu! Beautifully realised by sculptor Noiguramu in the classic sofubi style, the pair come in-scale at just under 10″ each, coming complete with articulation in the legs, arm and head. Produced in soft vinyl and treated to initial “Heavyweight” and “Revolution” paint apps respectively, both Tatsumi Fujinami and Genichiro Tenryu will be available via preorder through the Medicom Toy store starting Monday, August 24th, coming in at just 8,424yen ($67) each plus shipping…

Nearing the end of yet another month in the world of toys can mean only one thing- a whole host of new Medicom Toy exclusives! Once again offering up way more than we could ever feature in one day, we’ll instead be giving you guys the lowdown on the best releases throughout the rest of the week- starting today with the latest figures in Medicom’s long running Legend Pro Wrestler project, the Legion of Doom! The fourth round of figures in the series to secure an American licence – past releases have featured only Japanese fighters – both Hawk and Animal has been recreated in a stunning vintage sofubi style courtesy of Neugramm, standing at just under 10″ tall and featuring 5 points of articulation. Currently available to Japanese customers through the Medicom Toy store for 7,800yen, international orders can be placed through Rakuten right here for the slightly inflated price of $69.26…

Previewed here just last week, the “Imperial Pro Wrestling” set from elusive sofubi maker Utsugiyo is now up for grabs! Created in the style of sister company Ilu Ilu’s highly sought after “Dynamic Fight”, the “versus pack” features 2 different protagonists – Larry Blackhole and Bear the Ted – both sculpted in the classic sofubi wrestler aesthetic and coming complete with a number of accessories including a removable mask and top hat. Packed in a deluxe window display box with companion coloring book and wrestling flyer for just 14,000yen ($117) plus shipping, anyone interested in bagging the pair is going to need to fill out the dedicated order form right here before close on Thursday, May 7th. In the inevitable event of applications exceeding the allotted 27 sets, a lottery will be drawn to determine who secures the figures… Good luck to all who apply!

Revealed in our Rampage Toys round-up last week, Jon Malmstedt has posted yet another tantalising image from his forthcoming Frenzy custom release. Due to drop on Friday, July 6th, Jon will be painting up 5 of the sofubi house’s wrestler figure in his signature palette of neon hued sprays, including one very special green-headed “chase” variant. Unfortunately, further details on the release are still forthcoming, so your best bet is to stay locked on the Rampage Toys twitter feed for the latest updates… Competition is going to be fierce for these guys, so be sure nott sleep on them!
