MAN-E-NEWS// The Diazombie charity auction from Bigmantoys…

Remember the special edition “Diazombie” from our Acrozombies post a while back? Well Bigmantoys are proud to reveal that the stunning little guy will finally be up for auction soon! The extra wait on the figure has been for good reason, because unlike the previous Acrozombies, Diazombie now comes complete with a whole playset’s worth of extras, including extra weapons, accessories and Takara style blocks that can be used as either legs or wings! Kit-bashed from the Giant Acroyear’s Armroid robots, the original Acroyear and  Time Travellers, plus (for the Diazombie only) an Ancient Greek style Gatsblocker head and sword, the beautifully cast and gloss finished figure will be available through eBay this weekend (direct link to follow). All proceeds from the sale will be going to help  Lost Cats Brighton, a cat sanctuary in the south of England… For more details on both the toy and the charity, head over to the Bigmantoys blog here.

UPDATE// As promised, here is the direct link for the Diazombie auction, bidding starts at £29.99. Best of luck!

MAN-E-NEWS// The Acro-Zombies from Bigman Toys…

After 6 weeks of blood, sweat and tears, Bigman Toys can finally reveal the full Acro-Zombie line up in all its glory! Originally due to become a series of around 20-30 figures, spiralling costs and issues with UK supplies meant that Bigman was forced to whittle the number down to 10 in order make them affordable to ALL lovers of the original Microman/Micronauts series- not just die-hard collectors! Inspired by martian invasions, the Misfits discography, 70’s sci-fi, plus the distinct palette of garish colours found in the likes of the Micronaurs Mobile Exploration Lab, the Acro-Zombies have been kit-bashed from the Giant Acroyear’s Armroid robots, the original Acroyear and  Time Travellers, plus guns and fully removable mid-section sculpted by Bigman himself! One of the most poseable and robust line of resin figures we’ve ever seen, the beautiful creations come in 3 distinct styles- Skull (skull head cast in clear helmet with 666 chest plate), Humanoid (original Micronauts TT head cast in clear helmet featuring a clear chest plate with visible guts) and the one-off Diazombie-8 (Ancient Greek style Gatsblocker head with sword). Priced at just £22 ($34) plus shipping, each Acro-Zombie has been lovingly packaged in a custom made coffin, and are available to purchase directly through Bigman’s profile here.

NOTE// 3 Acro-Zombies (4 if we have anything to do with it!) have already sold, so be sure to keep checking the Bigman Toys blog for updated availability (plus a superb in-depth analysis of the project!). The one-off Diazombie-8 will be available separately on eBay soon…

MAN-E-NEWS// The custom Grim Creeper from Adam Pratt…

Since the release of Tim Stephson’s Grim Creeper a couple of weeks back, we’ve begun to see a few artists get to work on the platform… with the latest coming from our good friend Adam Pratt! Making a few subtle sculpt alterations including boils and teeth using plumber’s spackle, Adam then painted the “biomechanical space zombie” using a mixture of green, grey, red and white acrylics and weathering powder. No news as to whether this piece will be available (it’s currently winging its way back to Tim), so be sure to keep an eye on the newly opened Creeper Factory for developments…

MAN-E-NEWS// The “Chocolate” Mr. Jimmies the Undead Doughnut from John Sumrow…

Mr. Jimmies was a mild mannered doughnut, just doing his regular shift at the greasy spoon diner. One fateful night a police officer staggers in… green, incoherent, mumbling. Before Jimmies could get out a concerned “May I help you Sir!?” … the officer CHOMPED!
Reeling back, bloodied and in shock, Jimmies realized his fate was sealed. The officer was one of the newly turned “undead”….”

Illustrator John Sumrow is proud to reveal the latest flavour of his “Mr. Jimmies the Undead Doughnut” resin figure, the delectable Chocolate Lover! Meticulously hand cast and painted by John (including a painstaking 104 sprinkles!) each figure 7″ tall figure comes signed and numbered. As with the previous two releases, Chocolate Lover has been strictly limited to an edition of just 25 pieces, coming with a price tag of just $125 each plus shipping. Head over to John’s store here to take a closer look…
